I thought everyone was saying everything was looking very promising but yet they are dropping and are heading towards their lowest for some months now. anyone have the answers and a forecast for what lies ahead with danky? 14/5/2003 22:07 | Zedder My brother lives in philly (perm). I lived there for 4 yrs (Greenwich Village B4 it became twee & bendy). I know you're long & I wish you well, but be carefull, stateside (which really determines Danka's direction), was down again, only 5c, but the real telling factor is volume. If you look at historical run ups, then there are 2 major differences, 1, price hike, 2. volume. Both are missing from this current 'run up' period. As I said B4, I have no position, just looking 4 an entry point, but where I expected to get in was higher than things are turning out. UK MMs are over valuing DNK compared to its US prices. Best of luck anyway. | serious punter
14/5/2003 18:23 | Pasted the following from the Yahoo Board Institutional Ownership by: geenngg (39/M/uk) Long-Term Sentiment: Strong Buy 05/14/03 11:31 am Msg: 42987 of 42989 Is still Rising, they now own over 1/4 of Danky and are still accumulating. If things were bad (and they are privlaged to know this before us punters) - Why are they still buying ? By the way SP, I was actually up late. It was 11:10pm here in the US. I'm a Brit living over here temporarily, but still a UK resident for Tax and Share Trading Account purposes. | zedder
14/5/2003 07:45 | Morning Zedder You're up early. I quite like DNK/DANKY, but the lack of newsflow and results date info along with a fall back rather than the usual rally before results is not very encouraging. As far as entry price, I don't mind what it is, its just getting in at the perceived bottom. Across the pond (which really drives DNK), low volumes, prices falling/stalling and even the bulls on yahoo seam be having their faith eroded. In the UK the MMs have DNK 55/59 = $3.57/$3.80 - far too higher/greater spread. | serious punter
14/5/2003 04:09 | Think you might have a long wait share price Or is that hope?! | zedder
14/5/2003 00:26 | zedder You could be right. Their PR team aren't very good - no news for ages, a bit worrying that. | serious punter
13/5/2003 21:27 | Closed down across the pond tonight and low volume. Good for who is looking for an entry point, but my 55p has now been down graded to sub 50p. | serious punter
13/5/2003 17:05 | Is a dilution on the cards.....the notes are due next april ''In the event Danka, at its option, were to make an equity offering, it may apply up to 75% of the proceeds to the early repurchase of its senior subordinated notes, instead of applying those proceeds to the repayment of its senior indebtedness.'' | forfaiter
13/5/2003 16:41 | UK mm seem unsure of the next move... | forfaiter
13/5/2003 16:30 | Zedder There are 5k @ $3.57, 5800 @ $3.50 & 5000 @ $3.41 (L2 Realtime). Then in between odd 100's. If as FF says and I tend to agree, that $3.70 is key, then it looks orrible across the pond | serious punter
13/5/2003 16:24 | Look above though. Somebodys VERY keen at about $3.57 stateside. | zedder
13/5/2003 16:22 | SP..its at a crucial juncture....needs to break back above 3.70....otherwise it looks like c wave down to 2-2.50.... | forfaiter
13/5/2003 16:11 | Hi ff Must admit the normal run up is not occuring & L2 across the pond is not very encouraging. What makes you think thirties? I'm currently out looking to get in at some point | serious punter
13/5/2003 15:59 | The chart looks weak....good chance of going back to the thirties... | forfaiter
13/5/2003 11:56 | SP, Hopefully the spread will tighten just before the Nasdaq opens. They like to see which way they think it will go first. I topped up with more yesterday (the 1900 @ 57p just before the close) because I'm hoping the imminent results will show further progress in the turnaround of this company. There has also been vague talk on the US boards of them being taken out by a bid before the effect of the various changes made by management really start to hit the bottom line. Just look at the turnover of Danka, 1137 million at 31 Mar 2002, or 456p per share! (from the fundamanetals page). If they can start to turn say a 20% profit on that now they've paid the debt down a bit, the price will really start to fly. A 142m Mkt Cap seems ridiculously small to me anyway. From what I've seen, it appears in the US that they've been trying to peg the price below $4 recently. Since 'surprises' are often announced at the same time as results, you just never know! | zedder
13/5/2003 08:15 | Mornin All What a ridiculous spread - clearly the MMs are not interested in trading DNK today. Across the pond DANKY ended @ $3.62 or 56p in English. | serious punter
11/5/2003 20:40 | do you need ramper___ in here??? | wham2003
11/5/2003 20:31 | L+G in for 7.5mill shares.....going by my pension which is with them, time to get out!! | telbap
10/5/2003 14:58 | Not sure similar results will stop the rot......they need to start ramping up the earnings..... | forfaiter
10/5/2003 11:35 | Very little turnover in the states and share moving down slowly over there in front of results.I would expect similar results to the last quarter. | redhill
09/5/2003 22:54 | What's caused the drop today??? anyone know? | dinglydanglydan
02/5/2003 21:15 | They were on 16th May last year (a Thursday), so maybe 15th May this year. | zedder
02/5/2003 19:47 | Results must be due soon.Anyone know when? | redhill
01/5/2003 18:57 | For long. In the US it has been back above $5 briefly already in the last couple of months. If it can hold above that for the required period (90 days?), it would then move from the NASDAQ Small Companies market to the National Market. Belief on the US BBs seems to be that if that occurred it would move rapidly from $5 to $7+. | zedder |
