Copied from the Yahoo board across the pond

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 14, 2003--Danka Business Systems PLC DANKY today announced the appointment of Manos Menayas as executive vice president of Danka's U.S. Technical Services. Menayas joins Danka from IBM Global Services, where he held senior management positions in professional, third-party, technical, and consulting services during his 25-year tenure.

Menayas will lead the U.S. Technical Services efforts to address the analog to digital impact to the Company's traditional service business. He will also collaborate closely with the recently formed U.S. Multi-Vendor Services organization and its recently appointed leader, Paul Gange as well as with Mike Howard, senior vice president of professional services, to drive these high value growth initiatives.

"The top priority in the U.S. is the successful transitioning of our Technical Services business from analog to digital, while simultaneously pursuing growth opportunities that will take full advantage of our talented technicians, support infrastructure, and world-class reputation," said Todd Mavis, president and COO of Danka's U.S. Group. "I'm pleased to have recruited a high-caliber executive such as Manos Menayas for this important effort. His experience at IBM Global Services, including his leadership in delivering consecutive quarters of growth at a key business unit, will benefit greatly our service-related initiatives." As an IBM Global Services vice president, Menayas led a staff of 3,000 consultants and service professionals that generated sales of more than $2 billion.

"I'm excited about joining Danka, partly because it is a highly regarded service provider and partly because it is clearly focused on expanding those services," noted Menayas. "Given Danka's strong service infrastructure in the United States, and its recent financial turnaround, I believe there are multiple opportunities to enhance current offerings and add new ones. I look forward to working with Paul Gange, Mike Howard and others within Danka to optimize our existing service capabilities and pursue growth opportunities."

Menayas also will work closely with outgoing U.S. Technical Services executive Mike Hawkins to ensure a smooth transition. Hawkins is retiring in April after a distinguished career with Danka and Xerox. Following his retirement, Mike will continue to consult with the company to assist in the transition to new leadership.

Danka's U.S. Technical Services provides industry-leading service and support to customers through a nationwide infrastructure of highly trained engineers and ISO 9001 Customer Support Centers. Service technicians are certified on a wide range of office document systems and network technologies, and the company now offers advanced single-source service for a broad range of hardware devices and software solution through its Multi-Vendor Services initiative.

2 Nice chunky buys reported late 825k @68.5. Drifting along across the pond $4.30/32. If the 6300 @$4.30 get taken out the slide may quicken - let's hope the septics retain some self control :0)

If you are referring to when the instutions finish - I need to borrow a crystal ball :0)

At moment across the pond $4.31/32. They seem to be keen to keep it around $4.31 mark at the moment, but as we know the septics are an unpredictable bunch

Here I go talking to myself. Interesting to see institutions increasing there hold (despite Fidelity downloading a few mill). Face value seems good news, but they appear to be driving the price down to get DANKY/DNK a rock bottom prices. When they've finished will be a good time to top up.(IMHO)

IMO it isn't helpfull pitching 7c lower than current bid. However if its repeated later on at a higher level, then things start looking up. No change in bid/offer from last post - volume is very low - 28,600.

I've posted the last trades from across the pond last night. As I've posted before, I both hold and trade DANKY/DNK. At present IMHO, I would wait to buy DNK at lower prices than 67/71. US equivalent is currently is 67/68p. However, based on Thomson (the chart at the header of this thread), there is increased institutional buy interest, albeit they want to buy at lower prices than current valuation. Because the septics are really nervous types, they are caving in, so IMHO, the price will drift to around $4.10/20 before starting a climb back. Charting with DANKY/DNK doesn't seem to work. Overall, DANKY/DNK will move forward because the story gets progressively better q on q.
