A 'T' trade is NOT a tender as stated by coolzorro46, it is as follows:

'T' If reporting a single protected transaction. A protected transaction occurs when a large order is going through the market. The buyer (or seller) may wish to keep the order anonymous from the rest of the market as the size of the order could greatly alter the price of the stock. With a protected transaction, the dealer will put the trade through in small quantities rather than knock the whole order out in one hit. The entire transaction is reported once the deal is completed. The LSE is notified at the start and at the end of the transaction. However, the market as a whole isn't told until the end, thus the order is protected.

Further, the bid (ie price for sells) for the day ranged from 69 to 71.5, outside the range of this transaction. However the offer (buy) price ranged from 71 to 74. Thus the simple average for the offer was 72.5, similar to the price for this transaction (which was probably volume weighted). QED it was a buy.

Haven't contributed to this thread for months - bought and sold DNK twice this year - good the first time, not so good the second time, but still came out ahead in what has otherwise been a poor market. Volume is the key, the price can be moved up/down while volume is low over the next two holiday period weeks, but the large buys are important and seem to confirm a move towards the main market.

dnk has risen in almost a straight line surely it has to retrench at some stage,i have set up an adr sb trading facility for it and shall be hoping to go short on it at the first sign of retrenchment,this baby owes me a few quid,good luck to all holders
