26/7/2002 11:19 | PHOOOK INELL! ! ! WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT MATE? Listen, if someone tells me that they have not made a loss in this market then they are either lying or they never invested at all! Everyone is making losses so there is no need to feel bad about your losses on QXL, TGR, and LIS. I can remember when we both bought PCM at 2p ages ago. And now look. It is still a good company but you just got in at a bad time imho. Your £50K losses you told me about are nothing compared to some people who have lost over £300K !! So dont take it badly. But why did you go short on RBOS yesterday? I dunno, Good luck to you. And thanks for the email confirmation. | arpy_eye_indexed
26/7/2002 11:12 | phook & arpy, I don't know what your relationship was or whether one of you comes from Leggmason or not but it will be very interesting if LIS has interest on Danka. So far only Fidelity declared their interest because their holding is over 3% but I believe many institutions have bought or traded Danka since January. I just found a little info about LIS below. LeggMason Investors Strategic Assets Securities is on of six investment companies within LeggMason, Inc. LeggMason Investors Strategic Assets Securities plc was incorporated on 2 March 2001 and the ZDP shares were admitted to trading on the London Stock Exchange on 2 April 2001. The accounts cover the period from incorporation to 31 March 2002. Interestingly why LIS did not hedge their investments although they realised that the market pricing and economy was not very good to invest since LIS was listed in LSE. Now, LIS has NAV = 0. My question is: how many of us are private investors/traders and how many are from institutions? Interesting! Surely, many private investors did better because they look after their own money and must pay full attention beccause they will lose if price decline. People from institutions sometimes wont care about their investment as long as they get good salary and nice bonus. Interesting! I am not talking about both of you mates but we are aware of institutions giving more interests on Danka. | oaklandsway

26/7/2002 10:03 | Phook inell I'm sorry to hear that you bought (LIS) Leggmason Strat today. I understand that you purchased £20K's worth? They are now 95% down so i'm glad I didn't listen to you. But keep the emails coming mate. I'm sure there will be one good one in there. PHook - You seem to be the only one who is bullish on this! lol | arpy_eye_indexed
26/7/2002 09:58 | interesting post : Re: Fidelity increase stake again by: bullrallystocks (42/M/ ®) Long-Term Sentiment: Strong Buy 07/25/02 09:54 pm Msg: 33857 of 33860 . . Between June 8th and July 22nd (30 trading days) Fidelity bought a further 2,759,600 Ordinary Shares. This converts to 689,900 ADR's 2,759,600 Ordinary Shares / 4 convertion = 689,900 ADR's Average Closing price between June 8th and July 22nd was $3.08 per share. Approx. 9,417,000 ADR shares traded between June 8th and July 22nd. 689,900 / 9,417,000 = 0.0732611 = 7.33% TRANSLATION...Fideli I wonder if any other Institutions were buying during the same time frame??? Have they Stepped up the BUYING process at a Reduced price??? Are they still Buying Today???When will the Holdings Data Update??? We will find all the answers long after the fact!!! No Doubt the Average Cost basis that Fidelity just payed could give anyone an Idea what potential Return on Investment you can expect. If Fidelity breaks even we will need a 50% gain from todays close. Hold tight LONG TERM easy double expecting a 2 year 5 bagger from here even in todays horrible market. | phook inell
