30/7/2002 16:38 | "L" trade signifies either of two trades. Either it could be a delayed trade or "late" trade. A delayed trade is one where the market maker has delayed in displaying the trade at the time it was done and can delay it upto a hour before its displayed - eg where the amount traded is beyound NMS. A late trade is where a trade is redisplayed because the initial bargain has been ammended. Its not a new trade, but a redisplay of a trade that has already taken place. More accurate trading systems have two separate flags for these two trades. One is an "L" flag and the other is a "D" flag. ADVFN groups both such trades under one flag; "L".
