08/9/2002 23:40 | Currently short - seems to have been a bit of after hours buying - will the neasured move from the H&S work and the shares reach 370p? Comments welcome, also a chart if possible. Noted that after failing at the 200 day ma all ma s turning south though inndicators are suggesting that the share has been oversold. | teeps
18/6/2002 17:44 | - and since 1t April it had become over toppy some of this is profit taking . Should be sound to buy in at around 500p. | hectorp
18/6/2002 17:43 | The stock 'disappointed' though of course it did not make a loss. In this bear market it got tarred with the brush of not meeting expactations. That is certainly worth 10% fall in the price. .. watching it from now on, as of course, its probably a useful 'core' holding. | hectorp
18/6/2002 17:05 | nothing concrete then. Look at RWD go. And i think they are milk production only whereas DCG has brands. | jps25
17/6/2002 22:57 | Today's jump was on the back of a strong recommendation on Bloomberg Money on Friday night. I believe the fall was a combination of fear of results reception after a strong run, general market fall, and people locking in decent profits. I am back in this morning and believe that subject to general markets not being in a dead cat bounce that DCG will show a new chart high within a month. | poiuyt
17/6/2002 17:33 | bizarre someone please explain ??!! | jps25
14/6/2002 09:15 | b*gger... down 10% in 2 days.. I didn't think the results were that bad?? | martinc
14/6/2002 00:59 | Agreed, top end of forecasts and "in-line" in terms of future outlook.....so does the 5% drop in share price today mean people expected even more?? | mr whizz
13/6/2002 15:10 | cods: why do you think there's a sell-off - purely charting reasons, or fundamental reasons? | martinc
13/6/2002 14:15 | Entering a short term sell off so expect a downtrend to form. A good short term short. | codswallop
13/6/2002 14:12 | The negative bits seem to be: "Basic earnings per share, which incorporates the impact of exceptional items and goodwill amortisation, declined by 11% to 18.0p per share" Gearing up from 122% to 132% 42.5m of exceptional costs. | martinc
13/6/2002 09:46 | Healthy looking results, just off the top end of forecasts.. | martinc
29/5/2002 15:47 | Now looking good to get to £6. | cat
15/5/2002 15:52 | looking good for £5.60ish | cat
14/5/2002 10:12 | another run developing....£5.60 short term target. Richmond going again too. Interesting stock activity with Uniq aswell. Food processing sector outperfoming nicely. | cat
13/5/2002 11:16 | Tipped by in their May monthly newsletter. Last months shares flew up. On avergage 7% higher 3 weeks later with one stock reaching 29% 3 weeks later Dave | dave46
06/5/2002 22:48 | BYRDSONG :- You are indeed a brave punter to take a short position on DCG. I have to agree with CAT's assessment of ....ERR !!!!!!! My reading of the Sunday Times note was far more positive than negative, but if you think it can unnerve a few into taking profits then you may be taking on the wrong sector. For the moment all eyes will be on Richmond on Wednesday with an expected +25% in EPS. If they fall short, or if there is an over-nervy reaction then maybe its time for a rethink. But not yet. JIMIBT - Yes Hornby - I've kicked myself half a dozen times for not getting into these. I expect I will do it again shortly. Thanks for the couch chat. | poiuyt
06/5/2002 11:05 | mms were coming off in response to some mild selling. Only abn left on the bid on fri. Even if its only a small pull back I'll be in the money. i'll try to long it again if it starts moving up again. | byrdsong
06/5/2002 10:50 | May 05, 2002 Share of the week: Dairy Crest DAIRY CREST, the company behind Cathedral City cheese, Clover spreads and Frijj milk drinks, has enjoyed a strong run of late, helped by a bullish note from UBS Warburg. The shares touched a record high last week, before closing at 535p on Friday, only a sliver below Warburg’s 550p price target. Next month’s results should be tasty, thanks to a combination of strong growth from the leading brands and the benefit of cost saving measures. The company is forecast to report full-year pre-tax profits of about £72m on sales of £1.4 billion. The excellent growth of Cathedral City and Frijj is encouraging but the shares may need to take time out for digestion before moving on upwards. | mashman
06/5/2002 10:19 | closed one long position on Friday - but go short....? I'll watch with great interest! | cat
06/5/2002 09:25 | Sunday Times: ....strong run, but time for shares to take a rest... I went short Friday. | byrdsong
