All very suspicious, the share price rise here recently.I was looking for a good entry point for the attractive dividend but the share price was rising on no news. With Brexit uncertainty overshadowing the market, this share is now up 50% in no time. This is why private investors no longer trust these markets.

Deeply unconvinced that this represents value for shareholders

The price was 575-650 18 months ago and since then, they have developed new products, started an expansion drive and have had an "exceptional year".

Shareholders are also missing the dividend due on trading to end March ie 16p or so.

There will be many LT holders who are being sold out at a loss - my first holding is from 606

If I trusted this management team I might take a different view but awarding themselves shares in the placing but denying that opportunity to PIs doesn't sit well with me.

I will hang on to see if there is a counter offer. The managements 0.055 per cent is hardly deal making.

I've just seen an interesting post on the ADVFN Twitter about DCG:

I don't see any threat of a dividend cut and imo the large investment that's being made to significantly increase plant production makes sense long-term ( good bad or catastrophic Brexit ). Who knows how much further the price can fall in the short term though ???? So much uncertainty . Few new products being introduced soon as well which may in the future provide added growth. I don't own any shares and will be happy to hear any negative long-term argument against.

Even adding the dividend back in still -17p under the placing price.

With the dividend added I make that 3p under the placing price now.

No dividend increase, no PI participation in the share issue. What contempt!

They went from under 5% holding to declarable just over 5%:

Oh, they do. Often they want to replace agribusiness land use with natural habitats to increase biodiversity - rewilding. Whether you agree with their reasons or not, it's a growing movement for people to eat less dairy and it's going to be a tough one for this company to deal with, long-term, as synthetic alternatives catch up in quality (there's no doubt about it, DCG products are delicious).
