11/3/2011 08:33 | What do you mean Darias? Full-year trading update not due until 31 March 2011. | mazarin
10/2/2011 15:19 | Thanks Nellie - 09/01/11 Evolution Upgraded 'Dairy Crest Group' and gives a 'buy' note and raises target price up from 415p to 455p | mazarin
10/2/2011 13:43 | Broker upgrade | nellie1973
04/2/2011 09:26 | I topped up this morning. The current price action seems like a bizarre response to such a statement. Food stocks are the way to go. | rcturner2
04/2/2011 07:21 | That was a very reassuring IMS this morning. I know that milk and diary products is not the most exciting sector to be in, but I really am surprised that there is quite so little interest, I have been quietly accumulating (reinvesting divis from elsewhere) over the last 2 months, currently holding 7,000, if they stay at these levels I will accumulate more. | timbo003

11/1/2011 09:23 | rbs ups tgt to 450p from 440p today | limit up
05/1/2011 17:38 | I suspect it is a broker downgrade, but who knows, I see that Wiseman were up up a bit today, so whatever caused the sell off, it is probably specific to Dairy Crest. | timbo003
05/1/2011 17:25 | After several weeks of steady and progressive daily increases in the sp, achieving nearly £4.25, only a few days ago, today's eligibility for Interim dividend of 5.5p seems to have triggered a sudden and rampant reversal of fortune. Apart from also triggering a few 'stop losses' on the way, does anyone have any other ideas as to the likely reasons for today's drop, resulting overall in 5% loss on the day..? Surely it can't just be that the cold weather's suddenly 'curdled the cream' post Xmas trading period or basic 'profit taking' after a good run? Food Producers & Processors Sector generally dropped -1.05% today. | mazarin
05/1/2011 13:24 | mazarin.. we are both in the same boat,i am suprised..i bought 10000 at 380p,i just see value here, looking further out..i am taking a 2 year view.. regds | limit up
05/1/2011 12:11 | I am more than a bit puzzled by today's sudden drop. Other than simply going Ex-Div, what else has changed with DCG? | mazarin
04/1/2011 12:18 | is today the last day for purchase for divi.. | milliecusto
30/12/2010 12:01 | Yes got it! thanks for that both of you. | dazzaa
30/12/2010 00:34 | GNC bid for NFDS in mid November but, more interestingly, 2 more interested parties were found to be buying shares above the bid price at the end of November. I think the market has woken up to the fact that some foodies are on low margins which can be increased significantly by rationalisation and some have strategic interest beyond plain earnings numbers. | aleman
29/12/2010 21:58 | Since Muller declared a 3% stake at the end of Sept..... ......I have been accumulating shares in Dairy Crest. Muller's stake building conveniently coincided with a dip in the Dairy Crest share price, following a (mild) profits warning from rival, Robert Wiseman. Muller will know (far more than I do) what Dairy Crest are really worth, so I'm just following them in, why not! | timbo003
23/12/2010 12:05 | I've been watching this tick up gradually each day over the last few weeks and waiting to see some notification for any of change of major interest - it however remains ominously quiet, otherwise I'm presuming its just interest generated ahead of Div Interim (5.5p) payment due next month. Nonetheless its nice to see this steadily move up after being so long 'in the doldrums', effectively since last July. I get the impression there are not a lot of followers/holders of DCG on this bulletin board. | mazarin
23/12/2010 11:56 | Didn't notice these jump past £4. Nice to see what happens when all the big boys and their computers pack up for the hols. | aleman
14/12/2010 11:46 | mazarin. the stock has been out of favour for so long ,probably quite correctly, but there comes a time, enough is enough.there is great value here..the sector is not one of the most exiting to be in ,but boring things make money.. regds | limit up
14/12/2010 09:23 | limit - looks like you made an astute 'buy' at that price, with renewed 3 yr contracts with Morrison's reported and more recently gains from Tesco for milk supplies, given any unforeseen tremor, I suspect you're on to a winner long term and I see, even short term, its currently in positive territory today still without any official notice....! | mazarin
14/12/2010 08:27 | mazarin sorry typo £3.8..i bought them as they are on such a low pe for next yr and high yield relative to the sector, the co brands are being valued literally nothing, and only 25% of there profits come from milk, which they have long term contracts signed up,, regds | limit up
13/12/2010 19:08 | Thanks Limit - iii today reports total of 385 trades (on 400.8k volume) - mid price of £3.95, that showed strongest price movement after 1417hrs to close. Incidentally on 5th Nov there was a 17p upwards blip, during morning trade but although finishing up, it wasn't sustained. Strange things appear to be going on here periodically, but rest assured we'll be the last to know as to why. Looks like we'll have to wait an RNS or similar announcement re. major holding change. | mazarin
