25/6/2019 07:29 | Acquisitions will be a way to further growth whilst streamlining, just like DOTD did with their Comapi acquisition | zeus19
25/6/2019 07:24 | £4 here we come. | dave2608
25/6/2019 07:22 | Agree with you regarding acquisitions. I can't fault the YOY growth reported, but with that level of cash build I feel they should be investing heavily in additional sales staff/tools to maximise the potential of Celebrus. | pastybap
25/6/2019 07:22 | Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant rns. I haven't even read through the whole thing! I'm astounded at profitability levels. "The Board is greatly encouraged by the opportunities and outlook for the business".Long term hold this one. Keep them firmly tucked away. As they keep buying back shares and smashing results, this will go parabolic. Imho. Good luck. | nitbhav06
25/6/2019 07:19 | Good results but perhaps a hint that growth is slowing a little. Second half about same as first half. Talk about acquisitions which I am not keen on. Why do we need them when they have such a good leading product. Do they need to boost future growth? Probably get the usual profit taking after such a good run. | amt
24/6/2019 20:09 | I'm surmising here Nitbhav06 that the patent in question isn't really worth a great deal. However D4t4's other patents are, e.g. their tag-less stuff. Their tag-less stuff is the moat that you refer to. | dave2608
24/6/2019 19:10 | Hope so cfro. That patent is worth a lot in terms of leverage, when they have takeover bids. I am really hoping for good results tomorrow. Still want to hold for another 5 years so not really worried about what happens in the short term. | nitbhav06
24/6/2019 17:42 | That is probably not the reality of it Nitbhav06! D4T4 have several other patents. They also have a market leading product, unique offering, first mover advantage and multi-million pound contracts.. The end game here is very likely a takeover by one of the bigger companies. | cfro
24/6/2019 17:39 | You mean without the patent we’d be similar to the data companies in the US worth billions? Sounds good to me. You do know the patent expires in about 24 months?! Good luck for tomorrow | nimbo1
24/6/2019 17:18 | Dave without the patent this puts d4t4 in the same position as every other data analytics company. Let's see what happens tomorrow. I think they will mention it for sure. We desperately need that patent else anyone can copy it and we lose our usp. | nitbhav06
24/6/2019 16:01 | Someone's been posting scare stories about patents. Think it may have spooked a few out. | dave2608
24/6/2019 15:49 | I hope only good news tomorrow morning, I have the feeling that today people are reducing their exposure to risk. | alotto
24/6/2019 15:35 | Yes tomorrow. | dave2608
24/6/2019 15:27 | When is the full year results release? is it tomorrow? | alotto
24/6/2019 10:00 | It all probably amounts to the square root of eff all. Did it cause a mini wobble first thing? Looks like that soon passed over. | dave2608
24/6/2019 09:53 | If you think about it, there is 1) only one year left on the patent and 2) D4T4 and the sector is on the cusp of going high growth, so it is any wonder others will try to challenge D4T4's market leading position? Also D4T4 have several other patents in place so i dont personally see it will make an awful lot of difference even if they do lose this case. | cfro
24/6/2019 08:54 | Just a personal opinion and I emphasise it's just my opinion, but I suspect it's a weak case and this kinda thing happens a lot in industry. If there really was substance, then they would probably negotiate and strike a license deal, these things are about money end of the day. If it's a weak chancer's attempt to squeeze another company, then they'll fight it. ATM it seems to be at an opinion request stage from a patent comptroller. Worst case - licensing deal and some legal costs - is not a problem if one looks at where D4T4 is heading with its business and the number of verticals it's now operating in. To be honest, I think it's mostly noise and possibly a bit of a distraction possibly for management. As said, just my opinion. | owenski
24/6/2019 08:36 | Thanks for the intelligent analyses on the patent issue. Buying opportunity this morning if you were quick enough | silverfern
24/6/2019 07:47 | martin...eagle eye has already mentioned on this board that company has advised results tomorrow. cheers | gleach23
24/6/2019 07:19 | Looks like Results tomorrow. RNS stated WC 24 June & they have been released on a Tuesday in the past couple of years. GLA. | martinthebrave
23/6/2019 22:25 | wrong thread | onjohn
23/6/2019 22:17 | I'm from Doncaster. Mildly excited as well. Love it! | revoman
23/6/2019 21:11 | Lookers Inc and now Tableau taken out at massive premiums. The sector is hot to trot. | geraldus
23/6/2019 19:49 | He first mentions D4t4 at 01.00. (June 17th podcast) "We are going to change the game even more so". He goes on to mention how Tableau analytics got taken over for $15.7 billion. Yes you read that right, $15.7 billion. | dave2608
23/6/2019 18:32 | Listened to bill Bruno’s podcast today and he is super excited ( super as he is American, me being from Yorkshire has me mildly looking forward to it) of the next edition of celebrus which happens in a couple of months. He talks of the American companies that are spending billions on a land grab of analytics and BI visuals etc. I think we will have a great year here. | deanowls |
