we have made immediate changes to give store managers flexibility to re-introduce local ranging products which has been positively received.

I get the feeling they now accept running things like a supermarket is not the best idea and I'm happy to see openings slow down but to be honest some schoolboy mistakes have been made, especially running full tilt on the rollout when we had the Brexit decision on the horizon.

I noted that. It is always more easy to push customers away than get them back.Store opening programme apart from depots has been halted, which can only be a good thing. Management can concentrate on improving sales. However, until they do this company is not investable. Will keep a close eye to see how well the management have learnt. gla

To be fair, there are not many retail companies out there at the moment with positive LFL sales! (especially clothing)..
Wonder how the market will react to the results today?
Hvs1, the chart was brilliant... until the end of August..
There's potential for the share price to recover over the next 12-18 months providing the management get their act together

Another early mark down as the market FTSE 250 was close to 200 points lower, but since
the buyers are getting the bid on the up so soon the only 35p offer will go to the better

So far on the Ticker there is 3 v 2 ( 100 v 66 ) in favour of buys but the share are down

Looks like "hvs1" has been not taking the medicine douce ( a large beef steak ) for a few days now.

Making soup without marrow bone will not make a good stock for soup, but soil water instead, too much taking of that and one goes delirious for a few days, that it seems is the case.

i also visited a pocklington shop this morning and found it full of effluent, not surprising as it is in east yorkshire

the shop assistants were playful and hurled last weeks deeply discounted stale pies at my head, one of them had a pastry picture of a farmer mounting a sheep from behind, very rural i thought, and all locally 'sauced'

it may have been because they read what i posted on this site

it were grand and made me chuckle

I yesterday invited any bull to put forward a strong case. All we have since had is the account from Playful, which was utterly meaningless.

Step up the bulls - or have you all given up!

Playful,

A shareholder visiting a shop and feeling delightfully comfortable is hardly indicative of the underlying state of affairs. Your comment is of nil significance.
You liked the pies - and? You would do, the shares are tasting as good are they?

Give me strength.

I visited Pocklington this morning specially to buy our Givendale Steak. It was busy enough in the town and it is surprisingly affluent considering its East Yorkshire, I’d say nothing much to choose between the typical York shopper and those found here.

Now, inside they have a nice traditional setup nothing like our other shops. I liked the minced truffle pies, each with its own farm yard pastry animal on top. I had a chat with the staff and someone said Oh you must be Playful which made me chuckle, they actually read this board and are keen shareholders which impressed me no end, perhaps our directors could follow their example when we come out of this closed period on Thursday.

Do I see buying is going on now?
Was marked down after a few small sells total 14K and 2 MMs were the guilty ones at the same tame with offer at 36p,
but small buying is going on and paying higher price all the time.
