You can currently buy below the share price after someone sold at well below bid fenseal if you are after more.

1p could come very quickly, GEM need 1.25p plus before they would be in profit.....

Zak Mir's Bull Call of the Day No. 2: Craven House Capital: Above 200 Day Line Targets 1.1p
By Zak Mir | Sunday 22 November 2015

The charting position of Craven House looks to be textbook in terms of the progression we have witnessed within a rising trend channel from as long ago as the beginning of 2013. This 2 year feature looks to be a very robust feature, over and above the way it is so long lived. What can be said now as far as the near term price action is that we are trading in the aftermath of a post May recovery of the 200 day moving average at 0.44p, a feature which is currently level with the floor of the 2013 price channel and hence provides notional double support in this zone.

The message as we head into the end of 2015 is that provided there is no weekly close back below the 200 day line one would be relatively confident of a fresh leg to the upside. What helps currently is that we have seen a V shaped bull flag breakout pan out over the course of November, with the likelihood now being that the longer the shares manage to consolidate above post May resistance at 0.6p, the greater the chance of a new bullish phase to take the stock as high as the implied technical target as high as 1.1p on a three months timeframe.

Desmond to buy fruit, nut farms for $65-million (U.S.)

2014-09-03 12:29 ET - News Release

Mr. Mark Pajak reports

DESMOND ANNOUNCES PROPOSED ACQUISITION OF VOS

Desmond Investments Ltd. has entered into a letter of intent dated Aug. 22, 2014, to acquire AP Vos & Seuns (Pty.) Ltd. and its related companies. The acquisition is at arm's length.

Vos and its related companies are private, family-owned and operated, farming operations of mixed fruit and macadamia nut orchards in South Africa. The property consists of approximately 1,300 hectares located close to Desmond's existing macadamia nut processing factory in the province of Mpumalanga, South Africa. Vos currently supplies wet and dry raw nuts internationally. Further information regarding Vos, including financial information, will be provided when available.

The LOI contemplates a purchase price of $65-million, to be satisfied through the issuance of 135,416,667 common shares of Desmond at a deemed price of 24 Canadian cents per share, and the sum of $32.5-million (U.S.) in cash, in exchange for all the issued and outstanding share capital of Vos. The consideration shares will be subject to escrow and other release schedules, the terms of which are yet to be finalized. At present it is not contemplated that there will be any change to the board of directors of Desmond or any material changes to its senior management.

A concurrent financing will be conducted in connection with the acquisition in order to satisfy the purchase price requirements, the terms of which remain to be agreed. Finders' fees may be payable in connection with the financing, subject to compliance with the exchange's policies and subject to exchange approval. Further details on the terms of the financing will be announced when finalized.

Closing of the acquisition is subject to a number of conditions including the entering into of a definitive agreement, the completion of a financing, receipt of all required shareholder, regulatory and third party consents, including exchange approval, and satisfaction of other customary closing conditions. The acquisition cannot close until the required approvals are obtained. There can be no assurance that the acquisition will be completed as proposed or at all. If required pursuant to TSX Venture Exchange Policy 2.2, the company will retain a sponsor in connection with the acquisition.

Further details regarding the acquisition will be issued as it becomes available. Trading in the common shares of the company will remain halted pending further filings with the exchange. Investors are cautioned that, except as disclosed in the disclosure document to be prepared in connection with the acquisition, any information released or received with respect to the acquisition may not be accurate or complete and should not be relied upon.

Bearing in mind I have no concrete proof whatsoever, I honestly believe that the deal we all wish for lies in South Africa. But lets just consider what we do know for certain rather than guesswork..

Our Chairman has made frequent trips (I understand) including recently to South Africa, our interests there are Royalty sports and all our agricultural interests with Emvest.

Susan Payne CEO of Emvest and 3.5% shareholder of CRV used to work for GEM who recently agreed to funding of £30m to CRV.

Our investment manager is Desmond holdings, who through a subsidiary Desmond investments are working on a massive deal to take over VOS who are based in the same area as Emvest, the common denominator of course is our Chairman who is involved in all the above companies..

Qeton taken over by Desmond investments only for another company Craven industrial holdings PLC to appear soon afterwards. Common denominator once again Mark Pajak..

I think its a fair enough punt to assume that the whole thing is interlinked.

The one thing that CRV have which sets them apart from the vast majority of other AIM companies is of course our assets, I know I keep mentioning them...but what that does is give any shareholder a safety net. With our MC being so low and our assets worth in my opinion at least twice that, even if none of our "transformational deals" come off, we still have not only our businesses, land, crops etc..and money in the bank. Wages can't drain away the money as our chairman doesn't take a salary, and outgoings are just £15k a month.

We must have every chance of a coup here?

Has anyone tried to contact the likes of GEM, Spark, Mr Pajak or Ms Eavis lately and had any joy?

We all know that Mr Pajak gets nosebleeds if he speaks to a shareholder. Ms Eavis on the other hand is always open to a chat, but not lately..

Spark tend to either ignore you or patronise, but lately they are in ignore mode..

GEM just ignore correspondence..

We can either assume they are all rude or they are keeping their heads down for a reason, which is it?

Its not just me, as other shareholders (4) have also tried without success.

Smart lady

Well worth a watch

Its almost 3 years old but at 30 minutes she talks about Emvest Evergreen which CRV hold a 49% stake. The factory that CRV have a 49% stake in would cost $17m dollars to build in todays terms, it cost Emvest and CRV a "fraction of that"

Nice one Karina, you have established a clear link between Emvest and GEM, anyone seriously think that she wasn't spoken to before GEM provided £30m worth of funding?

Closed period before results this month is surely the only reason we are stuck at this level and not higher. Mr Pajaks comments in the results may make interesting reading.

Happy at lasts post had me doing some more digging.

Susan Payne, CEO of Emvest and a holder of 3.5% of CRV used to work at JP Morgan as did Evan but at very different times. The thing that has caught my eye though, and it took some finding, is this -

Susan Payne - "I originally trained as a lawyer and, after having been called to the Bar, joined JP Morgan in 1986, working on the equities, fixed income and syndicate desks before joining the original eight-person Global Emerging Markets Group. During my tenure as Head of Emerging Markets Sales, Europe, the global group grew to number over 250 people and became established as the market leader in emerging markets securities, including both debt and equities. "

So Susan used to work at GEM, CRVs new funder and has sold several parts of Emvest to Desmonds over the last few years.

Its one hell of a jigsaw, but looks like its all coming together.

Francois le Roux
Chief Operations Officer at Desmond Africa

Chief Operations Officer
Desmond Africa
November 2013 – Present (2 years 1 month)Centurion. Pretoria, RSA
The assets of the EmVest Group in RSA have been acquired by Desmond Investment Ltd and some affiliate companies. Role is similar than at Emvest, (with exception of cross border functions) with emphasis now on restructuring and right sizing the business.
Current focus is to grow the Desmond's portfolio in South Africa through identifying agricultural prospects that complement our model and vision. Key to success is ensuring interests are aligned and a consistent evaluation of critical risk factors like: political environment, succession, markets etc,

My best guess is that CRV will take on some of the Desmond Businesses via the new entity Craven Industrial Holdings Plc.

Bloomberg now carries the business - Qeton Ltd And AP Vos & Seuns (Pty) Limited is a holding company that sells wet and dry raw nuts. The company is based in South Africa.

Was this deal ever finalised or do they need the £30m or potential £50m available to CRV to complete? " Desmond Investments' proposed acquisition of AP Vos & Seuns (Pty) Limited and its related companies for £40m"
