05/11/2015 11:36 | ..can any Craven fan name any company that has ever had a deal like that of CRV with GEM that has EVER been a success ? No ? I thought not. Craven. 90% sure that a dud investment -African farmlands.....implod - Pressfit. Listed and de-listed in 4 months How much proof do you need. Recall AIM is home to - chinese co. frauds - Globo fraud - Quindell fraud If Craven turns out to be a con any investors willing to go to Hong Kong or Asia to try to locate 'Desmond' & pay for a legal case ? ( Beware Karina.......blatant repeated blind ramping.....a negative) Fulltimeinvestors.co | smithie6
05/11/2015 11:11 | It has indeed and very tedious at times!! CRV have been very publicity shy so far, that will change at some point I have added as much as I can since yesterdays news, as your friend says, "anything under 1.25p is a given"...... Half a million Euros going in to CRVs account in the next 9 days and results to come this month. | karina
05/11/2015 11:01 | Thanks Karina, will do, looking at the chart it's been a bit of a bumpy ride for all of you, looks like things could be turning for long term investors 8-) | fenseal3
05/11/2015 10:44 | Morning fenseal Feel free to ask us any questions, we have been here a few years ! L S E thread is a little bit livelier | karina
05/11/2015 10:36 | Had a rec on this today, txt from fellow investor....said, CRV take a look, 30m funding available @ 1.25p....looks like deal in place, Great quote from Chairman........"Thi Looking into this today, GLA!!! | fenseal3

05/11/2015 07:55 | 0308966 Posts: 1,299 Off Topic Opinion: No Opinion Price: 0.625 View Thread (3)Ask YourselfWed 22:16 How did a company with an MCAP of just over 3 million arrange funding of £30million at amazing terms- Doesn't take a rocket scientist to to figure out that they have a deal in place to purchase another entity and the funding providers are more than happy to cough up after being given details that us PIs would dream to know about at this early stage No other way anyone would provide that amount of funding- IF they exercise the full amount they will own over 90% of CRV on the basis the share price drops back to where it started today (which i am certain it wont!). So to those on other forums saying death spiral funding or shorters funding- I ask how on earth would you short a company that you own 90% of the shares in?! Simple answer is you cant as you will burn yourself with the short. No ifs or buts about it. Will be an interesting day tomorrow for sure - when derampers show up who you have never seen on a BB before that to me is a good sign. ATB folks (",) | karina
04/11/2015 18:23 | The "other" thread makes you laugh- before this rise the usual culprits were adamant the share price would crash- its rose very nicely since then and yet the same rubbish is being spouted.Evan kalimtgis has recently took a near 30% stake here- think he invested that to take a loss you paid derampers? | manni786
04/11/2015 15:14 | Good post & as you say ' will short sell shares in advance before they buy any....to have no nett holding in Craven shares....' Effectively new shares being put out.. Selling pressure then likely to move the share price down ---- Once upon a time !! A company called Pacific did same thing as GEM ...involved in scandal...or was the scandal ...later went in to administration..... ( in 1 co. it held block of shares......administ Listed co. in question ..gone nowhere. | smithie6
04/11/2015 14:57 | This is a bog-standard 3-year drawdown facility of up to £5,000,000 a year with each tranche capped at the average weekly trading volume. Stock subscribed will tend to be short-sold in the 3 weeks beforehand, leaving GEM with a nil holding. The drawdowns also have a clause where GEM can take twice the amount of stock so if it chooses they can close out the short then take an equivalent long position. In practice that's rarely done but it means desperate companies who do business with them can claim the facility is twice as big, i.e. up to £10,000,000 a year. So if it's a 3-year term they can claim "we have £30 million financing available" even though it'll likely only be used once to raise a tiny sum or not used at all. | bam bam rubble
04/11/2015 14:54 | Pressfit.....was I think biggest asset of Craven Listed and de-listed in around 4-5 months !! A record ?? Daniel Stewart was broker.....tarnished and no longer a broker to any AIM co. ....I cant recall details... After lost its NOMAD....no one else would take on Pressfit !!!!!! Derek Walsh. Non-exec chair.....has been non exec at various Chinese cos. on AIM. is it 90% of Chinese cos. on AIM have turned to dust ? ...inferring he has been at some...in probability.. Farmlands......smoke Pressfit...on AIM smoked How much evidence do ppl want that Craven is a crazy insane risk to put real cash into ?? | smithie6
04/11/2015 14:26 | Good post. Has any company playing such financial games ever turned out to be a good company ...I think never. If the CRV business model worked....after x years...there would be a general up trend in share price ....and co. could -re-invest profits - pay a divi - grow via rights issues It cant do any of these things.... Sp up and down like yo-yo......not a real co./business imho ------ Will GEM buy the shares from the MD.....'to avoid dilution'....to flip in the mkt... And then ..whoosh...the smoke clears....to leave.... nothing ? & an RNS that MD stepping down 'to pursue other interests' | smithie6
04/11/2015 14:16 | Why has management dressed this up as a '£30 million' financing when a drawdown under the facility is capped at weekly trading volume (average here about £10k) Has a good company ever taken out an equity line with GEM? | bam bam rubble
04/11/2015 14:11 | Still negative about Craven House Could it be a scam as Gowex, Pescanova, Globo and Quindell have been ?! ( + Eros ?) Does anyone really believe the business model ? Are many of the reported assets in far away places ....so virtually impossible for UK shareholders to check out reality ? (As per Globo) Is the exec. dir located at other side of the world....making it very difficult for uk system to bring any legal case ? Etc etc .....imho uninvestable...by a mile... ( I was right about many others....including Globo....since selling around 30p on way up 2 or so yrs ago...due to unbelievable accounts....2 yrs later....shares suspended....false accounts Fulltimeinvestors ( paper short..just for fun...@ .82p ...tweeted..@fulltim | smithie6
04/11/2015 13:47 | Nice 500k snaffled up there by someone, nice price. DC | daicaprice
04/11/2015 11:03 | I've been here since 2013 so very happy to see the effect of this mornings RNS. Obviously from the share price spike a few traders have seized this opportunity today. Personally, I am happy to remain as an investor patiently waiting for the real uplift. The potential for which I believe has been greatly underlined by the GEM agreement. Why else would they do this? | mortimer7
04/11/2015 10:28 | Morning Rusty And to think GEM need this above 1.25 to make a profit on their investment...... This is so very different to the 1.25 to distressed sellers in the past. Happy Days!! | karina
04/11/2015 10:13 | Morning all. Super news. GEM look very professional and great associates. After months of frustration we have plenty of news on its way. You don't put all that funding in place for no reason. In the words of our acting chairman, "Working on several transformational deals" They are all done at 1.25p!!!! Go figure. | rusty9717
04/11/2015 10:08 | It does look like exciting times ahead with new holders in at a higher price as well. DC | daicaprice
04/11/2015 10:02 | The last 30m facility GEM gave was at a 10% discount to the current share price and they took a 1.5% fee......... How very different to CRVs agreement with them | karina

"Under the terms of the agreement, funds are provided from GEM, with limited restrictions, at Craven House Capital's discretion" The fact it has been RNSd now when CRV are so publicity shy says to me that we come under the "imminent" part of GEMs investment strategy | karina

I would find it very hard to believe that GEM have agreed to £30m of funding to CRV without being aware of certain pending deals, especially when any shares issued are at 1.25p. Does this possibly explain why Evan Kalimtgis has bought 26.4% of CRV? Anyway, its all speculation at this time, but its a great deal of money, and its available | karina
04/11/2015 09:13 | I agree Karina. Many of us have probably sold a few, but I'm guessing many of us LTH will also still hold many shares. £30 million to invest, along with the £20 million announced at last years agm, and the fact that CRV have managed to keep this deal secret, I'm guessing the long awaited transformational deals are just around the corner.Hold. | chumpster10126 |
