10/4/2003 17:26 | Riskblue/Shuisky Lifted from iii/CWK board - posted by The Gleaner last Sunday: The reason? Here it is fellow share holders.Have you read this weeks Farming press? I have, being a Farmer, luckily not a Pig Farmer.Cranswick have admitted under paying on a weight basis on 500,000 pigs last year, and are looking at several years previous!!!They are blaming faulty addministration and incompitent staff!! Oh yeah. And they are going to pay 10/pc interest! To my mind this smacks of shifty dealing.I am totally disappointed and I think this could hit the Company hard, financialy, and otherwise!!! | iglet
10/4/2003 10:11 | frankly I dont know. it triggered my stop loss and I got out. you may want to look at CRM and NWF who are in similar fields. FWIW i sold out of CWK and topped up on NWF, it looks a safer bet. I just can't see that a decline of this magnitude, in a relaively liquid share, is just due to sentiment. | shuisky
10/4/2003 09:08 | Whats the reason for the recent decline? any ideas anyone? why would this buck the market trend until now? | riskblue
09/4/2003 00:06 | it is, I've had enougfh and am out | shuisky
08/4/2003 09:02 | this chart is starting to look like all the rest | warddd
21/2/2003 10:51 | We are talking about a quality operation dragged down by dogs. Will be loading up | hindsite
16/2/2003 20:28 | Yesterday's FT - Company of the year competition: Entrepreneur Of The Year: Martin Davey - F.D. @ Cranswick Other contenders - Dinesh Dhamija/eBookers, Roy Franklin/Paladin, Mike Browne/SCS Upholstery Company Of The Year: Cranswick Other contenders - Hornby, Merchant Retail, Paladin | iglet
07/2/2003 16:57 | Just done some more back of envelope calculations. Rolling Op Cash Flow is 28.17m and Rolling Free Cash Flow (defined as Op cashflow-Capex) is 22.68m. Now given a market Cap of 174m (advfn figres are wrong sdue to share issue) then the company generates 16.2% Op Casflow and 13% free cashflow. Admittedly cash flow won;t be as strong due to takeover , but this stock looks cheap. I'll pick up some on Monday! | shuisky
06/2/2003 16:52 | Must admit I off loaded a few of mine yesterday | iglet
06/2/2003 14:18 | CWK keeps tanking it down wih small investors selling out. IMHO, they are selling out to pare losses on this and elsewhere. I've calculated the rolling EPS as 33p so at a price oof 436 the PE is 13.21. Ok, 13 doesn't scream cheap but its getting close to a buy simply on fundamentals. | shuisky
30/1/2003 08:04 | And the Trading Statement is a nice cheery one :-) | m.t.glass
30/1/2003 00:22 | Read elsewhere that there is a trading update coming out tomorrow. The article speculates good results but CWK continue to tank downwards. I've no clue what's going on here, but the long term growth record of this excellent company make t a very good play when the market gets over Iraq... | shuisky
15/1/2003 18:11 | Yeah, should've :-( All down to the Safeway effect? | m.t.glass
02/1/2003 16:17 | Oink oink. Bought 500 within PEP (should have awaited breakout?) | m.t.glass
02/1/2003 16:14 | Bought 500 within PEP (should have awaited the next breakout?). Oink oink. EDIT: Discussion (together with charts etc) is mostly to be found on the fbb CWK thread at | m.t.glass
26/11/2002 00:53 | jaxaxe been away for a few day note the -130k join the club! Cwk seems to have topped for now but still worth a hold I'll have a look at GUS Thanks Ao | a0426520
22/11/2002 09:48 | nice share.... | l2e
22/11/2002 09:40 | Ao I can see it around the 5.70 mark.It does all the right things,Im torn between these and GUS for topping up...Gus should see 7.50 within a short time frame. I do gamble a lot on shares and try trading, much to the detriment of my bank balance..around 130k losses, you pay to learn ..these sort of stocks are safe and continually produce good returns better than the banks can offer. These are my pension!I note that it doesnt take much buying to move the price...up again today. jax. | jaxaxe
21/11/2002 10:44 | Same here Jax do you see it topping £6 by year end? AO | a0426520
21/11/2002 09:10 | Tremendous company, continually out performs, last year profits up almost 50%and divi raised by almost 40%. solid growth..and always on the aquisition trail-but doesent buy lame ducks-only cash generative businesses. The last 2 days has seen 47p rise.I hold it for both income and capitial growth. jax. | jaxaxe
21/11/2002 08:16 | Great results great chart Is any one else out there interested in this one | a0426520
13/8/2002 15:32 | This share is IMHO perhaps on a par with UU. May be now a faster grower and also has an excellent div. Strong management and has been getting some serious talk in one of the more influental journals. Load up gang before it is priced out of reach! | hindsite
11/8/2002 20:36 | I am a little disappointed that we didn't get a nice rise after the share split, any comments on future direction of this stock? It seems to me that it's a bit quiet at the moment due only in the main to lack of any news that may move it significantly.Would appreciate any comments. | peteh1
30/7/2002 13:53 | thought it was likely share split - is this a good buy? | morose
