not sure if you've noticed this, but surely it means Amvescap has picked up over 20% of the company for somebody.

Goodhard - not sure how many you're holding, but that rns from 20th should give you some hope. If somebody buys 600,000 shares and has now got over 19% of them I'd be buying. I'm not expecting a rocket of a rise or a sudden plummet from here. As a holder of DVO (a similar branch) I've seen the rollercoaster before and I'm ready to pick up a few of these for the long term.

Hi Goodhard

I'm surprised this stock has fallen so much especially with the interim dividend not far away. I think Cranswick have made an error in announcing possible H2 sales decline on the same day as announcing a large increase in profits for H1.

noticed that there is hardly any buying volume today despite decent overall volumes over the last few days - anyone has any views whether the MMs may find themselves short of stock?

another thing to be aware of is that the BEARS in order to the bring down the price of Amvescap shares - Amvescap has 16%+ holding in Cranswick - bringing down CWK shares may be cheaper and more effective!

I could be wrong but then again we may never find out!!

that 60k at 354p was it a sell? ..... selling via on-line is almost impossible - max 100 shares!! This one is on my long-term portfolio, so i m not that bothered .... i think all the short-term buyers have been shaken out!!

Hang in there, sharecrazyfem - considering the big boys have increased their stake in this company on behalf of their clients, this is a good price to buy.... i m just annoyed that i could have bought this share nearly 13p cheaper!!

a lot of buys in days and no moment, then the selling comes in and the price falls. i think the mms are making u sell cheap. i'm holding this one for as long as it takes cos i'm sure it's bound to recover. good luck who ever is with me....

i agree with sharecrazyfem......

I remember seeing the word 'amicably' being used and also 'owning up' in the statement; with the excellent figures and the fall the shares have already been thru (30% approx) this looks good!

Another thing to note.... try buying these shares.... despite the NMS being 3000, we are only allowed to buy 500 shares at a time; however, if you wish to sell, there does not seem to be the same level of reluctance.

Draw whatever conclusion you want, I am confident of this company's openness - that is definitely a good sign! Good Luck whatever you decide :)

Can you insure agaist this type of risk? I doubt it, so will CWK have to stump up out of own reserves? mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmhh. Don't like this.

This is a potential disaster..I'm out. SOS before you lose the lot incl. shirt off yer back! It's not just the present farmers , it's the masses that went bust in past 2 years. Compensation culture will have it's way.. the lawyers (no fee no win) will see to that.
