Well, I had Kier but sold out on a fall - just before the RI was set and KL was sold and it climbed by about 40p! Doh!

Bargain - and always a risk I suppose. The Yanks seem to be sniffing around for bargains.

No - just looked it up. Insurers not really my thing - too difficult (for me) to accurately and reliably quantify what the liability position is, imho. I do have the odd trade on the likes of LGEN, but not lately - on account of having too much tied up in this beached, er, trout.

Updated the header - you can buy this business, after adjusting for the cash you would be buying with it - for 13p per share. Wonder if somebody will?

Not me. I'm a long term holder. I don't short. Just seems to have been (other than one day this week) a pattern of blue in the morning, petering out to a red finish day after day

Red by the end of the day? What's the betting? Evens? Odds on?

It might help if they marketed themselves as a construction and engineering outfit rather than something sounding like an offshoot of Social Services..!

I am that kid...

It's not all that surprising - some proof of delivery is needed, and not just warm words, Linkedin posts and powerpoint presentations (they have plenty of all of those - especially Linked in; I am always tempted to reply with 'but does it make any money??!!')

Which takes time. MGNS haven't ballsed up (to the same extent) and therefore are being better rated.

It's all about delivery of the potential. And to be fair, if you did pile in the low 30s, it hasn't been too bad. Not much good for those who bought early last year though at 180-odd.

There ought to be so much more to come.

Things proceeding better for Morgan Sindall post trading update, with plenty of justification. Feel like the kid given the cheap trainers…

Well as above, they are in terms of the Welsh one, and it's just the variation in outcomes of the other one that is the uncertainty.

The worst case scenario doesn't (for me) change the picture going forward - it would remain a cash-rich low PE cash generative business, working in the right sectors, with a multi year order book and growing margins. It's just a question of how much cash they would have.

As I said, I don't particularly think that is 'the' issue with the share price weakness - I'm just suggesting it as a possible reason.

Rather irritating... rights issue / fund raising was at ... 84p ish... it's never been anywhere near since... from mid 30's to hanging around 60p for a while... now a bit of a falling knife... Irritating. Wonder if the market knows something we don't... one way or another

The worst management ever was the previous lot they had here, including the astoundingly overpaid CFO - paying out dividends and bonuses as the cash was disappearing...

No news to come before results so may drift for a while. I'd suggest that combined with the general malaise in the market equates to a good buying opportunity.

I would suggest it's not optimism - it's realism...

Or maybe not.

Everything has a value - and some £113m of net cash is a big chunk of it, never mind the actual business (currently valued at 12p per share with the price at 53p).

This is forced selling. Chain reaction from weeks of falls in small caps
