A lot of shares still in bargain territory, look back to the Spring 2009 pivot point and see how much they climbed over the next 5 years as situations improved.
Its the same here and many places, patience the tricky bit, that and having a broad portfolio.

1f it is down to PWC then it is absolutely right to be clear on that to the market.

Yes, it's happening to quite a few companies at the moment. Having prepared and published financial statements in lockdown late last year (well, me and people who knew what they were doing...), it's a lot more difficult in terms of timing, meetings, approvals, audit review and accounting treatment agreement and co-ordination.

Bit annoying, but amused how they are publicly pinning it on PWC...

This budget is good news for infrastructure investment as an enabler for levelling up the economy, connecting communities, achieving the nation's net zero goals, driving digital innovation and for enabling growth for businesses. The chancellor talked about delivering on promises. To realise the full potential of such investment, exceptional programme leadership with a growth mindset will be critical to facilitate the safer, faster, greener, better and more efficient delivery of infrastructure programmes and key to achieving the sustainable operational performance required to not only bounce back from COVID-19, but to thrive. At Costain, this is our promise and we are already working with Government and our clients to achieve this."

It is - as a sector competitor, they're very relevant. Don't worry about him - gave my view a few days ago based on experience on the SAGA thread.

Put my view of GFRD on that thread - they seem to be an extreme version of this financially, with higher cash as a percentage of market cap, but terrible margins. They are targetting (not yet achieving) 2% pre central costs. Being generous and giving them the maximum target revenue of £1.5m, and maximum target margins of 2% (after central costs) that gives PBT of £30m and PAT of around £23m. Market cap c£310m. Doesn't seem that cheap to me. As per previous comments, they are biased towards city centre building - maybe not the best place to be post pandemic. Shares down notably this morning - but this isn't.

Not seen John Laing, and not sure I can be bothered...

Broad positive day IMO.

Well it took nearly 3 months to clear the 60p area.. You'd think we'd make a little more progress before the next resistance point. Got slapped down from 69p fairly swiftly yesterday afternoon. I'm no chartist but from what I can see, we're well above the 20 day EMA and the 200 is about 68/69p... Maybe that explains the slap down. Happy to be corrected as ever.
