Agreed, clocktower. I have just added 375k in two batches below 15p.

Note that the interim dividend is 0.5p, however, not 0.05p. Assuming the final dividend is double, that implies a forward yield of 10%.

I'm wondering if the sellers today are bonkers - I already have to many CRU and am fully invested but I just had to buy another 25k at 14.5p with a dividend of 0.5p - cheap as chips with more to come. :-)

That's a pointer, I think, to how well the remaining businesses are doing. I'd bet they would pay the same again as a final - at least. If my calculation is correct and they DO pay a total of 1p for the year, is that a gross 6.5% or thereby?? Answers on a postcard please

Interim dividend declared and share price not gone up yet! Would be buying if I didn't already have too many!

I wasn’t expecting my anticipation of a resumption of dividends to happen that quickly !

The market seems to be soaking up a lot of sales again. I'm wondering if there'll be another buy-back notice, in the range 14-14.5p this time.

base7 - Haydock is, from memory, 160,000 sq. ft. so £4 psf to redo it is pretty good. That said, it's a "deck clearing " exercise, so we wait with bated breath for the denouement.....The clearing of the CBIL as was said allows normal service to be resumed.

I doubt whether many investors expected the new roof to cost £650k & £3.5mill for the Freehold is probably in the middle of the value range -but I always expected a sale & either with Finals or before JG will no doubt outline his strategy but I would be surprised if it did not involve payment of regular dividends apart from the possibility of a special Dividend & maybe capital reduction.

As i said sometime ago, CRU is not a property company....

The site is very old and rundown .The book profit will be around £1 million and removes a management distraction.
What not to like.

Bought in around 13p as there is clearly something strategic happening.

Given its trading near enough at cash value, seems like there is good downside protection with the potential for some nice upside of he does something interesting with the cash.

Well there you go net cash add of £2.85m approximately. With CBIL repaid I've lost track of exactly how much cash they will have but Clocktower could gave told us. Maybe £9m? I don't know, all suggestions gratefully received

The property sale doesn't seem to be a particularly good deal.

Clocktower - don't give up your postings.

I feel that you have been reading this situation very well and I would encourage you not to succumb to inane comments about the regularity of your posts.

Keep up the good work and have an enjoyable long weekend.

I challenge you clocktower, to post once a week on CRU instead of every time your balls itch. It's tiresome reading utterly pointless drivel....

If your suggesting those sales were mine today your mistaken. I did buy another 50k the other day at 14.05 though,as I posted the offer the MM were making in my post if you care to go back and check the thread, and because nobody then purchased them, I went back and took them out, there after the price rise occurred, and you can check that in the trades T_i_m. :-)
