Bik - another old-timer who remembers the City before Big Bang!

I was working for James Capel in 1984, under David Heron who ran their derivitives desk. Many considered him the pioneer of stock options in London.

All change in 1986 - and with long lunches proscribed I left and moved onto other things!

Oh and yes Elliott Wave I think is the best form of analysis of the lot! Sometimes difficult to read the waves but when they are clear then it really is a licence to print money. I have been using Fibonacci for decades but never really looked at Elliott Wave seriously enough until a couple of years ago. They are as you know entwined with each other so much you could not prise them apart with a 10 foot long crowbar!

Oh and back to Condor....sorry all you other peeps for transgressing. I wonder how long I can ride the waves higher for and not get impatient.

David, its always nice to come across someone who...A. understands how the markets work...B is receptive to, and appreciates the validity of, the analysis of charts. Finally C, and I think this is a key point - knowing WHICH authors to read and follow.

I too have been in this game a long time. My first insight into the market came in 1982 when I was doing a course in the principles of investment and one of the sessions involved a visit to the floor of the London Stock Exchange. I struck up a conversation with a jobber who specialised in ICI shares. It struck me how bored and unexcited he was about the market then. That was the bottom, pretty much!

Subsequently I worked as an analyst for Quilter Goodison in 1984 (Equities) , Then Chart Analysis (all markets) Under David Fuller and finally Informa Global Markets (FX gold and oil). The last two being entirely charts....18 years. 23 years in all.

Now I invest and trade, mainly on charts. Knowing yourself is a key determinant in being successful, having a plan and following it, and keeping control of ones emotions (hard to do at times, but nevertheless crucial).

For myself I am more of a trader, so positions from a couple of days to maybe a month or two. My make up is such that I continually monitor positions to check that I am still on track and haven't got it wrong - in which case I get out. That does tend to make if difficult to hold a position for a long time even if I know I have caught the start of a long multi year bull trend. Too impatient i'm afraid. For me the JM Hurst book on cycles is one I gravitate a lot towards. Optimizing gains in terms of time he talks a lot about and the benefit of compounding. That is a work in progress.

I agree with all what you have said, so yes all the people you have mentioned. I hadn't come across Avi Gilbert but have just read his 21st December piece - Final Test For The Market Before Year End. Excellent stuff...I like his style!

I believe We will have a rns regarding new drilling scope soon.
Imho this will make sense from two fronts: boost share price, and finally enabling mining.
Hopefully share price above 55p soon.
I am happy with solid proguess, even if slow it is solid.
Keep the faith

Thanks for posting your charts. Some don't believe in them, but I think they are a useful tool to get a handle on what's going on. Chris Aaron is right on the money with his and it's always useful to see the bigger picture when investing. I am fully aware of Jim Curry's work on cycles.

I've been in this game for long time. I am only interested in precious metal miners, senior and junior. I was one of the original crew in Hummingbird buying in huge at 10p, in early 2016, with gold at $1050-ish. That led to a great charge upward in mining stocks, which fizzled out in the summer. I remember it well, it did wonders for my trading account. I've been riding the waves ever since, helped by Avi Gilbert's work with Elliott Wave Theory. The more technical tools you've got in your toolbox, the better. So, thanks for posting, and it's always a good sign to see the directors buying too. They know more about their company than anyone else, and it's always a good indication to see that they have got "skin" in the game too. Collectively they've got a big position, led by Jim Mellon.

If you go on the Daily Gold site, you'll see that Jordan Roy-Byrne says that the bottom was in for junior gold miners last Thursday. He knows what he is talking about and is a well known Canadian analyst and supports his work with charts. He also is a renowned stock picker of junior miners admired by many people in the know.

I will admit that the Mellon stake increased the odds of an upward trajectory, so I can't claim it was just the chart. Respect for fundamental stuff too guys.

Dragonfly doji and 13 days down was the clue to the current rally. Say anything you like but it suits me.

UP 7.5% to 50p on volume of 440000 from 45 trades. A good day and nice to reach 50p but as they closed it on the uncrossing trade price rather than the mid price we may start tomorrow initially back at 49p before moving up again if today’s momentum continues. Even better if we get some news!

Sometimes I have the impression that, as soon as we and the folks over in LSE BB start complaining or depressing too much, we get an uptick to shut up 😂

Up 5.4% on relatively low volume of 244000 from 24 trades.Looking like a better day and with buys outweighing sells 3/1 perhaps we can back to 50p by the close.

Previous peak was reached by a report published for german/swiss audience.

Question is what is happening now, during this closed period, that is making the share price going up?. There must be something going on behind closed doors . I am hearing nothing new (only that major of our Head Town is getting involved) about land, so any of the other options could be about to be announced?

I trust few people in the markets, even the published sell of Ross could have been a spin for him to buy more through other channels at cheaper price .

What I know is that hundreds of miners have been minig gold in our district , that is not fake.

A quick break above 60p would probably mean news are coming fast.

There is demand for shares.

45 - 55p trading range swing yet again? Or will this time be different? I think we need some substantial news to break out of this range.. either one of Toll milling, Plant purchase/sizing/construction decision, financing, land purchases, EPCM contract signed etc The market needs to know that this project is going to happen and produce positive cashflow sooner rather than later..
