08/2/2021 16:33 | Gold has continued its rise this afternoon and is now 1837. | 888icb
08/2/2021 16:24 | Book5, are you able to expand on that any further? | sherwood58
08/2/2021 16:11 | After finding more about the land , I am feeling positive. Gla | book5
08/2/2021 14:29 | Your lips to God's ears '888ICB', Lord knows we deserve a break for our faith! ATB & GLA as always! | connect5
08/2/2021 14:12 | SP holding firm on volume of 172000 with Gold rising to 1830. I am hoping for a better week because sentiment for gold and gold stock ( and metals in general) is becoming very positive. If we get the right news as well this could move sharply higher. | 888icb
08/2/2021 01:39 | I posted this on the Hummingbird thread but its relevant here too. Sentiment on gold and gold stocks has turned this weekend! Remember the gold chart I put up last week showing the head and shoulders 'BASE'. I'll say it again....BASE !! Gold is now in prime position to rebound hard. Everybody should read the latest by JIM CURRY...... If you are one of those who can't see gold going up again then you really should read this. If you still can't see it then too bad. Sorry to ram this down your throats but I feel very strongly about this. A lot of gold stocks put in upside reversal signals on Friday. Humming bird too. Not as good as some but still enough for me to sit up and take notice. Now we have the South Africans deciding not to use the 1 million doses of the Oxford Astra Zenaca vaccine that we sent them because in trials it wasn't very effective against their strain of covid. As you all know we have the South African strain here too now.......so I wonder how many people will now think twice about having their jab? Could start to be a problem for the successful UK vaccine roll out so far. More risk to the Economy. This is just potentially one of several fundamental catalysts to influence rising sentiment for gold. | bikwik
08/2/2021 01:11 | Thanks for mentioning the Stansberry Research interview. Very positive on Gold and particularly positive on Gold explorers who will outperform physical gold x3. Possibly another week of capitulation then it’s off to the races for gold stocks. Well worth watching. | 888icb
07/2/2021 20:48 | Cooperative land is where MC showed us the first 9 diamond drill cores were done, and a bit more to the right hand side outside the famous picture with the red coulored line (the India vein) marked on it. More to the right is also America, and La Mestiza. It appears that last week they finished drilling on the cooperative land and are carrying on on our land. I have been told that the cooperative land occupies around 18% (this is not an exact number, it is an estimate by my main contact) of the main vein length. So with Mestiza, America and around the 82% of the main india vein we could probably open-pit-mine for some years. With more reasources we could solve the miners land without dilution. Finance from locals / development banks is another option if they are not so strict about cnr owning all the land at this stage. Sir-ff-A suggestedd this before; based on what I know about the land I agree with him. The social work we do hopefully help us to win the support from development banks. Time to bring news is now that we are in closed period and directors cant buy. Apparenty majority of german shareholders are not happy with the recent share tanking after they pushed up the share around a 25% with a bullish report that did not have new derisking news. Yesterday meeting was postponed as the major attended the funeral of a friend (an old lady that was an associate of the cooperative). Gla for this week。 | book5
07/2/2021 17:21 | 888ICB You are spot.. We have not talked about Rio in Nicaragua for some time. The earn in agreement is quite far reaching and Calibre get 10% for putting any deals together.... | goldrush
07/2/2021 16:20 | Oldie This is the one you are talking about....It is a very good one..... | goldrush
07/2/2021 14:04 | Hmm, you have a valid point with Rio. It might also depend on the overall gold sentiment. There was an interesting interview on Stansberry Research yesterday with Willem Middelkoop about all the various issues paper vs physical gold, miners, central banks etc. It gave me back some hope so in case you also need some therapy have a look on youtube :-) | oldiegoldie
07/2/2021 13:53 | Rio moved recently in to Nicaragua through its deal with Calibre so I don’t agree with your view that another major won’t move to acquire Condor. In fact Rio making that move will have encouraged other majors to take a look. I don’t think Jim Mellon or Mark as well as many long term holders would have any interest in £1. Mark’s big options don’t kick in until £1.50 if my memory serves me. Any bid will have to be £2+ to start to spark any interest but that’s just my thoughts. You make a good point about the free float traders but they would not be enough to carry the day. | 888icb
07/2/2021 12:46 | I was always buying Marks story that we want to develop the mine on our own. Main reason for that were the toll milling discussions. Toll milling was just meant to replace other means of financing. My guess is that Calibre would pick us up sub-1GBP anytime if they had the opportunity. I do not believe that a major who is not yet doing business in Nicaragua would buy us out. I would even guess that in case Calibre attepts a hostile takeover around 1GBp the majority of free float shareholders would sell. | oldiegoldie
07/2/2021 11:22 | Mining Journal published an article on 27/1/21 this is the preamble While more numerous than the feasibility stage projects covered in the first article in this series, PFS-stage projects still represent a finite universe of quality ventures moving towards development. Mining Journal has identified 18 PFS-stage projects in the Americas in the hands of junior miners, representing some 83Moz of aggregate potential production, some 3.4Moz of potential annual gold production, and US$14.7 billion of initial capital expenditure, an average capital efficiency of $141.8/oz, average AISC of $787.7/oz, and IRR of 23.53%. There are nine projects in Latin America, five in Canada and four in the US. This is the part of the article that comments on Condor Condor Gold faces a different challenge at its La India gold project in Nicaragua. The project is permitted but it has to acquire all the necessary surface rights before it can commence construction, which as of December 2020, some 7% were still outstanding. La India would produce 79,300oz/y for eight years following a $110 million capex. Condor's approach has been to continue ticking-off the list of pre-development activities but it clearly wants to sell it rather than develop it. While the number of companies potentially interested in setting-up shop in Nicaragua is limited there are recent precedents: Calibre Mining obtained its Libertad and Limon mines in Nicaragua through acquisition in 2019, and Mako Mining merged with Golden Reign Resources in 2018 to obtain San Albino which it is building and on the verge of commencing production. Both are currently focused on implementing their respective business plans and exploring the concessions they have, and so are not immediate contenders. Will Condor have to undertake the final derisking activity and build La India in order to find a buyer? So there we have it Condor is very much on the radar as one of the few gold companies moving towards development. In the view of Mining Journal CNR clearly want to sell rather than develope. That has been my view for some time. What that means is that a bid can arrive at anytime so those who believe they can trade this because production is not imminent may get a shock one morning and wish they had been fully invested. | 888icb
06/2/2021 10:20 | We are probably in closed period. Year end results by early March, and then public presentation: 8 Mar 2021 PDAC - 8th - 11th March 2021 Gla | book5
05/2/2021 21:01 | Not sure if we have already the volumes for making technical chart analysis work for this share. Probably explorers and junior miners are more driven by news (facts and rumors) and market sentiment. | oldiegoldie

05/2/2021 16:40 | So today we have a potentially bullish dragonfly doji candlestick pattern. This has occurred on the 13th day from the Jan 19th high of 57.50p. Thirteen is a Fibonacci number just in case you didn't know, often Fibonacci time periods from highs or lows mark turning points. Take a look at the chart below with the three previous corrections marked with how many days each fell. The Fibonacci no sequence is 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34 Yesterday I posted a chart where I highlighted the expanding triangle pattern. The end of it now looks to be today...ie point E. (the triangle is made up of five waves...A- B-C-D-E. I jumped the gun yesterday and bought. I should have counted the length of each correction. Never mind....not much milk spilt! Here's a link to a rather attractive lady from IG who explains doji's and dragonfly doji's in particular. | bikwik
05/2/2021 16:30 | I think so Probably veins are on militar land, easy to buy | book5
05/2/2021 16:24 | @book5, probably the cooperative is in the process of selecting new land. Cannot be Mestiza, in this case the would not need consultant's advice. Cacao sounds probable | oldiegoldie
05/2/2021 16:07 | May be the new land for the miners will be on Cacao? | book5
05/2/2021 15:50 | With you number 5. But I think they could do with hiring a decent Pr team if their recent flurry of information was intended to bout shareholder enthusiasm! | diggybee
05/2/2021 15:33 | Haha. I don't mean offence. I have had a whisky or two. So diamond ha da it's going to the moooooooon!' | diggybee |
