The American Military-Industrial Complex is likely in a panic over MAGA's strident ideology, which is harming their export markets.
Perhaps CNC will need to shift its focus toward Europe and reduce its reliance on the U.S.

A couple of things to point out here for balance;
1. The II article says; "The share price, which is trading on 15 times potential 2025 earnings, has been on an upward trend for more than one year. Buy for the payback on IP investment."
No idea where they've got 15x earnings from, FY25 has forecast adjusted EPS of 6.7p, so at Friday's close of 176p CNC trades at 26.3x forward PE.
2. Those earnings are artificially high because they are currently in a tax credit position and are offsetting tax payable with R&D tax credits. II says;
"The 2024 pre-tax profit estimate is £5.2 million, rising to £6 million in 2025."
At a normalised 25% corporation tax rate that leaves PAT of £4.5m and EPS of ~5.3p, putting shares on a forward PE of 33.2x

The UT is the last trade of the day for SETSqx shares like CNC, in SETS shares you can deal on book after the UT if you have direct market access. All other trades that land after the UT are delayed from earlier in the day, or are spread bet activity settlements.
UT manipulation of candlesticks / technical patterns on SETSqx is one of many issues that needs to be resolved on the LSE. My view is that it's market maker to market maker & used to control the chart to suit their background objectives. In CNC's case it looks like they want to stop the price moving higher so that a buyer and seller can exchange.
Low UT's are used as an excuse to hold / reduce a share price, high UT's to get it to move up. All so manipulative & should evidently be illegal as it sets a fraudulent closing price. |
The UT one is the important one for SETs stocks to give the official closing price. Unfortunately, tiny amounts can sometimes be dealt (or very rarely, large amounts)at a price thats not close to the quote at say, 16:29pm. This skews the charts and gives a different picture. Obviously, this is not as important in big liquid stocks, but it affects Concurrent Technologies, and other Market maker stocks that have a closing auction price. |

I thought that any trades posted as being after 16.35 were in fact deals done some time earlier in the day but for some reason only getting recorded late. Obviously that's not the case.... |
Just so people know, they closed at 175 - 178p. There has been a sale and purchase of 125k shares at 177.5 and 177.77p.
Anyone would think the LSE system is designed to confuse us as private investors, and they'd be right. |
