Crosseyed, FYI
Alot of discussion on LSE re the reasoning behind the different percentages given out by numerous brokers.

kazz,

That's an intriguing thought: the excess dependent on the OO take-up of the nominee account provider's shareholdings. That certainly does not seem right.
By the way, I did not opt to take up any excess shares but am interested in how it works.

That does not make sense, 19% through IWEB, 5% through TD, etc, if excess shares are being distributed on a pro rate basis (as stated in the RNS) on excess shares applied for. Perhaps some maximum cut-off is being appled or/and a minimum application honoured in full.

A allocation of 19% would imply only 10.5 million OO shares being taken up, ie 50%, which seems most unlikely.

Sure is crosseyed :)
I have been in other OO before, and IWEB always seems to come out trumps compared to other brokers on the allocation front percentage. Dunno why?
Maybe not so many IWEB clients take up the offer, so more to hand out??
Or just a good broker, who knows?
I am in an OO for PPC this week, so will see how that pans out.

kazz,
19% is rather different than the 5% reported by others.

Just to update the calculation used in post 1857 with the 5% figure reported as received on excess applications, I deduce the following:
Total Open Offer shares taken up = 17.75 million (of 20.1 million)
Total Excess shares distributed = 2.35 million

No problem Kazz. It's been a lot easier to maintain since Leo and the team took over, as has being a CERP shareholder :)

Just spoken to someone at II and he said that the company ie CERP has not yet returned the cash to them. It normally takes one or two days before the account is fully balanced again with allotted shares and cash left over.

I have accounts with both, but prefer IWEB. Cheaper than HL too, at £5 a deal.

Just got off the phone to IWEB re my OO shares, and they say the OO shares should be in my account by 5pm tonight with the return of my excess share refund aswell.
So hopefully will be able to buy more CERP tomorrow with the cash refund :)

Holly. I see your point but if you applied for 1 million you would have to make 50 grand available.
