18/9/2019 10:24 | Good, because the order book increase looks pretty small even though more pipeline prospects and I didn’t understand the debt increase and working capital comment. So good to see buyers at this level | shaker44

17/9/2019 12:45 | AGM Statement & First Quarter Update Cohort, the independent technology group, is today holding its Annual General Meeting. The Chairman, Nick Prest, will make the following remarks to the meeting: "Cohort made further progress during the year, achieving a record adjusted operating profit and record order intake. MASS, MCL and SEA all posted increases in profits and the result also benefitted from the acquisition of Chess Technologies (Chess) in December 2018, which performed ahead of our expectations. These gains were partially offset by a weaker performance at EID, which is expected to improve this year." "The Group's net debt as at 31 August 2019 stood at £12.9m, compared to £6.4m at the year ended 30 April 2019. This increase was in line with our expectations and reflected a partial unwinding of working capital at the year end." "At 31 August 2019 the Group's order book stood at £210.9m (compared to £190.9m at 30 April 2019). This underpins nearly 76% of the full year's externally forecast revenue, including recently announced September orders, compared to 60% at the same time last year." "Since we reported the Group's final results in July, we have continued to win good quality work in all the Group's divisions; major awards include: · Renewal and extension of export electronic warfare work at MASS (announced 23 July) for £4.8m. · EID contract to supply tactical radios and ancillary equipment for the Portuguese Army (announced 3 September) for €16.7m." "We also have a good pipeline of order prospects." "We retain the financial resources to augment organic growth through targeted acquisitions, and expect the Group to continue to make progress this year and beyond. This takes into consideration the budgetary risks of our main UK customer, an improved performance from EID, the timing of exports and our strong order book." | aishah

03/9/2019 11:25 | Since EID was the weak point in otherwise good FY results to April this is very positive. I too would look for £5+ soon and would only consider top slicing at more than £6. Well run group but of course subject to Corbyn risk on defence spend Good luck to all LTHs | petomi

03/9/2019 08:16 | Cohort, the independent technology group, is pleased to announce that its Portuguese subsidiary, EID, has been awarded a EUR16.7M contract to supply tactical radios and ancillary equipment for the Portuguese Army. Deliveries will start in 2019 and will continue until 2026. This order follows on from earlier contracts with the Portuguese Army, allowing them to use a modern and powerful tactical communications system based on software-defined radio principles, with a high level of efficiency and compatibility with other NATO countries. The PRC-525 combat net radio is currently the standard manpack and vehicular radio in the Portuguese Army. It covers HF, VHF and UHF frequency ranges, featuring frequency hopping and a wide range of waveforms. The contract includes the provision of other systems and components developed and manufactured by EID, including deployable base systems, power amplifiers for vehicular use and antenna tuning units. Andy Thomis, Chief Executive of Cohort, said: "I am very pleased that EID has been awarded this contract, continuing our long and deep relationship with the Portuguese Army. This contract will provide EID with an important long term revenue stream and together with other recent wins across the Group, will enhance the visibility of future Group revenue." | aishah
23/7/2019 10:14 | revenue +10%, adjusted eps +16%, divi +11%, order book +84% to £190m. Also, MASS awarded £4.79m contract. Strong hold for me. | aishah
