Even if Peace breaks out in Ukraine, the pressure on Governments to increase defence spending is going to stay around for a while I think. |
yup insane momentum... great to see it doesn't seem many taking profits despite trading around all time highs. |
Good strength today - looks ripe for a break to new highs |
Maybe today I think |
Feels like a new ATH kind of day... |
Yes good peace dividend! |
Wollop! Nice work Zelenskyy :) |
The management presentation at the interim stage stated that MOD orders accounted for something over a half of revenue but this would reduce over time due in part to recent acquisitions. This is a stock for the uncertain age in which we live. |
HMGs defence spending plan won't be harming the share price either . If it materialises of course. Just checked the last interim report, about 2/3rd of revenue is from UK last year. |
Offer for Chemring should focus minds. |
I work for a listed company and have dealings with Investec who are our brokers too. I rather like them and their research. |
..also Investec highlighting CHRT this a.m. |
Indeed, the November placing price at 875p should provide strong support.Anyway, whole defence sector strong today from British Aero to RR.Realism returning. |
Isn't the floor the placing price + a bit. |
It is an AIM stock (with the caveats that involves) and its a thin market.Doesn't take much to push it up and down. It's had a good run over a short period and was vulnerable to top slicing but a further explanation is lost on me.I see recent political developments as generally supportive. In any event, this company has got an order book stretching out to 2030s |
BA. also holding up well so it just seems after an extended good run the sheer number of people profit taking / top slicing has resulted in more impact on the price than usual. |
Execution risk? |
Not sure what is going on in this sector at the mo: CHRT and MSI under selling pressure whilst RHM and RR. hitting new highs. Bemused.. |
This will definitely be a top up opportunity, any falls in Arms companies over some Trump cheap agreement with Putin will not last.....Europe will have to plough everything into defence going forward if we want to stay sovereign, just my thoughts. Can't see nothing but big arms upgrades if US take a back step |
Behaving like an AIM stock!Down some 20 per cent in a few trading days.I presume that the thinking is that the potential ending of the Ukraine conflict will curtail defence spending.Optimistic in my view.European nations will have to increase spend if the US takes a more backseat approach to Europe and concentrates attention on China in the Pacific region. |
Irritating volatility,i suspect some prop book is trading this stock in a thin market. |
Looks like the ticket price might just have risen! |
