04/1/2001 13:29 | Don't own them but have been following the story. Nice bounce off the (?) bottom. A press report last month said: 17.12.00 CHROME TECHNOLOGY: Back in October we tipped Chrome Technology when it came to the market at 10p with the intention of acquiring internet and technology incubators. Consolidation in the troubled sector seems inevitable and David Rogers, chairman of the company, believes there are some attractive deals to be done. In November we heard that Rogers, who has been behind a number of AIM success stories, was ‘just weeks away’ from a deal and we repeated the buy advice at 47.5p. A deal has yet to materialise and the shares have slipped to 32p in a tough market. Investors who followed our original advice should hang on for the deal – which although taking longer to complete than we expected – is said to be still on track. Could be there is a deal now in the pipeline? L | ![]() robm | |
