29/11/2023 11:47 | Yesterday bought at 95p a few weeks ago now. Could be out already | johndoe23
29/11/2023 11:29 | Charlie Munger RIP - Legend! | dancing piranha
29/11/2023 10:47 | I see Robbie Burns has just bought here 😊 Obviously thinks they're very cheap. The weekly chart is certainly indicating that CMCX is very oversold. P | peddlers
29/11/2023 10:43 | One last one foelr today, if I look at the last 6 months or last 12 months chart. I see a lovely flattening curve. The kinda thing I like to see before a rise. Right, nil by post now! | hamhamham1
29/11/2023 10:27 | Stock markets in the US pretty well always go up during the year before the election when a first term president is going for reelection. But stats are just stats :) | hamhamham1
29/11/2023 10:11 | But I do hear you. CMCX have a leading platform tech for CFD trading and spread betting. | hamhamham1
29/11/2023 10:03 | I think CMCX are increasingly offering those extra facilities through CMC Invest. (Both in the UK and in other parts of the world). | hamhamham1
29/11/2023 09:57 | II is a very different business from CMC - II is a fund platform so can see why it would be very attractive to Abrdn. CMC is basically a spreadbetter with a fair bit of regulatory risk/complexity, which I dont think would be much interest to the likes of Abdrn. | riverman77
29/11/2023 09:36 | The bolt of offerings and cross selling that companies like Interactive Investor and here, CMC Markets, offer to companies like Abdn and its peers are quite compelling IMO. And there's only a few decent local players that would be worth bidding for IMO, II is gone (sold at £1.5bn to ABDN), that leaves say IG (£2.6bn mcap) and CMCX (£250m mcap), and maybe IBKR ($32bn mcap - US listed though). | hamhamham1
29/11/2023 09:26 | Yes £2 would seem fair. | peddlers
29/11/2023 08:10 | Agree - mkt cap now less than cash | scepticalinvestor
29/11/2023 07:09 | My thoughts are this will get bought out by either a rival or a fund, akin to what Abrdn did with Interactive Investor. Let's see. GLA. | hamhamham1
28/11/2023 17:49 | I'm gambling that it's an outlier. Comparing it to the past two years. Or alternatively whatever the cause, hopefully have learnt from it. | bjfanc
28/11/2023 12:36 | For me, from the interim, the risk management looks 20 million too high. No idea if they are trying to be to clever. As details are limited. | bjfanc
28/11/2023 11:56 | As a trader, I find Plus500 to be exorbitantly expensive. They shaft their customers which benefits shareholders. CMC is the opposite. They are great for customers but I guess in spread betting that leads to worse outcomes for their shareholders. | apollocreed1
28/11/2023 11:29 | LOL PLUS now up - far better company | scepticalinvestor
28/11/2023 10:53 | CMCX getting slaughtered - might get my 80p buy in target v soon. | scepticalinvestor
28/11/2023 08:26 | Good find! | scepticalinvestor
27/11/2023 14:48 | *ban rather | scepticalinvestor
27/11/2023 14:47 | Yanks constantly drive this lowerLSE shld van shorting imo | scepticalinvestor
25/11/2023 07:22 | I am up on most as recent entries, am down a bit here and fdev (topped up there yesterday at 192p), but both will come good. Like comedy, it's all about....timing ;) | hamhamham1 |
