05/9/2023 08:38 | This is a dinosaur, all the smart money is in Algorithm trading, a licence to print money! | ny boy
31/8/2023 17:49 | Impressive chart! I'll NOT be a buyer anytime soon... just sayin! | dancing piranha
31/8/2023 15:46 | But have he and Fiona Cruddas (I assume concert party) got enough to make 75%? Seems no; they'd need both of Aberforth and/or Schroders on board with them to delist, maybe more...? | triskelion
31/8/2023 12:37 | Lord Cruddas is going to have to take this private and I doubt investors will like the price. | planelondon
31/8/2023 07:49 | Jefferies cuts to underperform. 80p target from 190p. | jimbo123elf
25/8/2023 18:32 | Perhaps a better explanation or breakdown about where all that dosh is going might help? | isis
25/8/2023 18:27 | Crazy valuation here. Absolutely loopy but there you go. | nigelpm
25/8/2023 17:00 | The £179m cash due from brokers. Is that CMC cash? ie in the event of winding up we would get all that cash back. Just trying to work out whether I should include it in my valuation. If I understand it it is needed as margin but if we ceased trading it would all flow back??? | clemo69
25/8/2023 15:28 | Thanks for that jimBut quick look and it's a jam tomorrow loss making bio, burning about $70m pa, so anymore on your list?Apologies for off topic. | disc0dave45
25/8/2023 14:55 | They're spending too much on IT and Pet Projects. WTF are they building? Either a Tardis or a Hadron Collider!? | isis
25/8/2023 14:38 | Vaccitech is forecast to lose the best part of $100m this year and even more in 2024. | spooky
25/8/2023 14:17 | Jimbo, Is Vaccitech making money? If not then they may burn through the cash before getting to breakeven, so discount may be appropriate. CMC, is cashflow positive even though the forecasts have been lowered. One would imagine that their cash pile will only grow. | hunter154
25/8/2023 13:42 | Algorithm trading, put AI in the mix, it’s the way forward, licence to print suitcases of cash. Alex has doubled his net worth from 4B to 8B These guys are super smart, trading shares is just for gamblers and spivs | ny boy
25/8/2023 13:04 | Well Vaccitech has $173m cash and a market cap of $75.89m | jimbo123elf
25/8/2023 12:54 | Tell me more!.....what companys? | disc0dave45
25/8/2023 12:42 | Balance sheet doesn't mean jack to the market. There are plenty of public companies with like 200million cash on balance sheet trading at 70mil. | jimbo123elf
25/8/2023 11:37 | This is a dinosaur, the real money is in algorithm trading Alex at XTX has had a good year, doubled his personal wealth to £8B!! Happy to know the guy, he’s a genius really. XTX’s three main UK operating entities reported combined profits of about £1.1 billion in 2022 as revenue surged 70% to £2.5 billion, registry filings show. | ny boy
25/8/2023 11:33 | still falling slowly after the bounce and may challenge the 98 low point again today | arja
25/8/2023 11:06 | I think much of the problem is the massive spend on whatever they're doing does not seem to justify the reward as yet. | isis
25/8/2023 11:03 | no, I got it wrong and it is just lower profit expected . I wonder how it compares with IG and I must check the chart on that one . | arja
25/8/2023 10:51 | thanks Aleman and good to know that no liquidity crisis. I thought they had made a loss but must check it again . | arja
25/8/2023 10:23 | Trading below March's net current assets of £320m with no debt and still making money - just not as much. It's daft for a profitable company to trade at less than current asset value. Markets are stupid at times. There's little downside now unless they can manage to start trading at a loss. | aleman
25/8/2023 10:11 | anyone know the debt/equity ratio as hard to find on ADVFN nowadays ? I have a spreadbet account with CMC and am a bit concerned if it went under as only partial protection ( they deduct admin costs but never mention this if you ask ) . Chart looks dreadful and SOR situation I think and probably poor management | arja
25/8/2023 09:21 | It was only a month ago they said tracking last year (£288m), but fair point. | disc0dave45
25/8/2023 09:12 | Not sure its a question of trusting what they say. Markets will do what they will do. Hard to predict future market environment with any certainty. CMCX are a buy down here because of the balance sheet IMO. Eventually markets will pick up and volumes will increase. The downside is that it will require patience. | spooky |
