Dont get your knickers in a twist sonny, no need to take your losing positions out on those who are profiting.

CMCX, SPT, FSJ, MARS, RNK, FDEV, SYNT.
All can treble potentially over next 2 yrs IMO.

I personally think it's overdone.
Buyers are now starting to come in.

From a chart point of view, the weekly chart is completely oversold and is diverging, but it's the strength of the company Vs its current share price that really interests me.

A market cap of £260M, very strong balance sheet, and the company has more funds than the market cap itself.

As investors flow back into the markets , especially over the course of the next few months and beyond CMCs profitability will likely increase quickly moving forward.

In addition, it's had ample chance to trade below 90p but its so far not dropping that far.

It's only a matter of time before we see those shorts being covered and CMC surging higher

I see no reason for an upturn here, so 75p is quite plausible imho....

I think we're all done.
Buyers are coming in now to capture the value play.
I have a short term target of £1.20

Very cheap yes, but also performing extremely poorly - Shore Capital say it's uninvestable, and I tend to agree.

Bought CMC today.
Held this share a while back.
Incredibly cheap at these levels.

~75p in 2019, but that wasn't a discount to book value at the time

CMCX's never been as low as 70 so why expect that now? If anything, there's grounds for thinking a base has been forming since ~16 October.

No surprises slipping to break even. They were pretty silent on how CMC Invest UK is going in terms of customer activity so I suspect it is slow.
Can’t see a trigger for a sudden rerating but at 75% of book value it’s not bad risk/reward.

Well I topped up today.
This company has no debt and last 4 years profit before tax was £98m. £224m, £92m and £52m. (4yr average being £116m).
Not bad for a company with a market cap of only £262m and NO DEBT!!!!

The highest recent share price (Apr '21) was 536p, the current share price is 94p, that would mean a 5.7x multiplier from current to hit that price again. I'll be happy around 4x ;)

(and when I say topped up. I mean more than doubled my stake here). GLA.

I wld anticipate a drop down to the 70s before there is any marked bullish turn

New high for gold in sterling at £1646 and VIX at around 22 has been moderately elevated for 5 weeks. CMCX is still not taking a bit of notice of probable better market conditions in the short term and a fairly solid trading update from PLUS this week.

Got this wrong at 250p ish and only sold it to buy Apollo Global management at 57p back in April during the sell off. I have recently bought back in at 97p ish. I feel pretty well protected down here albeit the negative operating leverage worries me. As does the dearth of insider buying. It’s a small bet unlike my last one so let’s see.

There is so much value on offer in the U.K. right now. It’s a fertile hunting ground.

Another new 7-month high of 22+ for VIX and amongst the higher levels of 2023, getting back to 2022 levels.
