Its obvious that if we have a deal close or dare I say it even signed in principal,or positive indications from the data room that according to mr cluff had significant interest ,that anyone close in a position to accumulate would be doing so and not at the top but at the bottom.There will have been plenty of shares going into privileged pockets in my view.

reason:
The London Stock Exchange moved all their non-order book trade reporting to a new system, it seems that this has caught out a number of data vendors, sadly including ADVFN.

oil price is not helping today........

Oil prices hit seven-month lows on global oversupply

Oil prices fell to seven-month lows on Tuesday after news of increases in supply, a trend which has undermined attempts by OPEC and other producers to support the market through reduced output.

Benchmark Brent dropped $1.06 to a low of $45.85 a barrel, its weakest since Nov. 18, just before OPEC and other producers agreed to cut output by 1.8 million barrels per day (bpd) for six months from January.

Brent was trading around $46.11, down 80 cents, by 1030 GMT.

At the AGM Cluff did mention "later rather than sooner" as more time was required to de-risk the deal and therefore gain a higher value.

Current offer is 2.45p down from 2.475p yesterday so I will continue to hover......

I do some research before I say something
Is not a question of a few weeks back, but at the price they were sold for a MM to make a profit.

Since the 13th when I said time for a bounce, there was only 272K sold at below 2.50p while there has been 626k buys at below this price, so my conclusion is ( tomorrow now today is after 12am ) the price is marked up or MMs are losing small money on this stock

I found the article on Twitter and was an update from Allenby Capital released today. I agree there is nothing particularly new...other than the reference to the 'beginning of Q4" for the likely date for the finalisation of any deal. That's a bit further out than many have been touting on here/LSE/twitter etc. Let's hope he's going to pull that ace from out of his sleeve sooner than that!

Operational Update
Further de-risking supports SNS farm-out
CLNR has recently announced a further de-risking of licence P2248 in the Southern North Sea (SNS). This should support free-carry farm-out negotiations. Drilling is a distinct possibility in 2018. Over the past two years a rigorous data evaluation programme for P2248 and P2252 has been undertaken leading to a substantial prospective resource base by junior standards of 2.4 tcf. The latest appraisal work has significantly enhanced the chances of success and boosted risked resources. We believe that a combination of the advanced technical work undertaken, the positive findings of an independent scoping study, encouraging data room traffic and the prospectivity of the Carboniferous zone of the SNS all bode well for concluding a farm-in deal by early Q4 2017. The forthcoming results of the BP Ravenspurn North exploration well, which is targeting a Carboniferous prospect analogous to those on nearby P2248, could be highly influential in the farm-out process. Near-term CLNR is in part, at least, a play on the outcome of the BP well. (Peter Dupont)

There was plenty sold in the last few weeks for the MM's to still have a good supply. I was one of the small buys today, but the volume is pretty insignificant at the moment, and until the big trades of 200/300k + shares at a time reappear I can't see the price moving up much. Even small trades seem to make it fall though!
