29/5/2017 16:25 | Nothing to mention, all going on behind closed doors. Sp might spike before news, might stay the same and might drop. I've seen all 3 happen with exploration companies in the past. | wordog
29/5/2017 16:04 | Just no mention anywhere of Cluff. If there was any potential deal then the share price would move. | thehotticket
29/5/2017 15:44 | All this North Sea activity in the last week. Ally seems to be correct in his assessment that the North Sea fields will transition from the traditional majors to private companies and minors over the coming period. Good news is that companies are snapping up resources. LONDON -- Alpha Petroleum, which is backed by upstream oil and gas investment firm Petroleum Equity, today announces an agreement with GE Oil & Gas to partner on the advancement of the subsea infrastructure for the Cheviot oil field, one of the largest undeveloped fields in the UK North Sea with 55 MMbbl of oil and 20 MMboe of future gas production. Alpha Petroleum has named GE Oil & Gas as the exclusive supplier of early engineering, project management, and procurement activities for the project. UK junior Independent Oil and Gas (IOG) is eyeing new upstream gas assets in the UK Southern North Sea as it continues to build up a portfolio of gas fields to supply the increasingly gas-dependent UK market. Part of IOG's strategy was also the purchase for a nominal fee of GBP1 ($1.29) of the disused Thames gas pipeline in April this year, which will give the company a ready-made route for supplying gas to Bacton in the UK once it is re-commissioned. Ineos has taken another big move into the oil and gas sector by agreeing to buy Dong Energy’s portfolio of North Sea assets in a deal worth up to $1.3bn (£1bn) . BP plc, on behalf of co-venturers Shell and Siccar Point Energy, announced Monday the commencement of first oil from the redeveloped Schiehallion Area, following the completion of the Quad 204 project in the west of Shetland region, offshore UK. EnQuest is on track to achieve first oil from the Kraken development in the UK North Sea before the end of June, according to the company’s CEO Amjad Bseisu. Statoil ASA received approval from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to start oil and natural gas production at Gina Krog field, 30 km northwest of Sleipner in the North Sea. | wordog
29/5/2017 12:08 | The depth and the situation is relatively costly for Ormen Lange ? | clickon
29/5/2017 12:03 | To be honest I am not sure but the cost of development produced all the big boys to take a piece of the action so is that the case with CLNR? I will ask on Wednesday at the AGM. | anley
29/5/2017 11:33 | Would you not agree that Ormen Lange is an interesting comparative. | clickon
29/5/2017 11:30 | I imagine they could hence the question in an earlier post, however I hope that Algy has been able to make the case to a third party. With all the work they've already done it would be extremely unfair of the OGA not to extend it, if that became necessary. | clickon
29/5/2017 09:41 | You are giving us all a compelling case for buying more CLNR shares. However, is there any chance that CLNR could loose their licenses if they do nothing? I surpose I should say no drilling etc. | anley
28/5/2017 18:41 | 47p per share for 2248 are CNR's own figures (In the corporate presentation) | clickon
28/5/2017 18:35 | Plus the attitude of the majors to gas is now even more apparent, with the recent deals. As we've said before a drill is about £10 to £15 million. | clickon
28/5/2017 18:26 | Hi Anley The markets don't always get it right till the deals are in place. We were at 7.8p a few months ago. We need a partner and a flow test, each phase will cause the price to rise if a deal comes off in the first place. | clickon
28/5/2017 18:20 | Hi AnleyMost likely the largest new gas field in the North Sea is Ormen Lange with 14TCF of gas.......operator : Shell 17.8%, Statoil 25.4% Petoro 36.5% Dong 14% Exon Mobil 6.3%. This appears to make our prospective look appealing, looking at percentage values and in totality.Plus the Ormen Lange field is much much deeper than ours At 850 to 1100 metres! While it also has condensate, the view of Ineos is that the gas is the way forward. | clickon
28/5/2017 13:12 | Clickon............. The markets always get it right at some point and I am always prepared to buy below 3p which is what I am doing bit by bit. | anley
27/5/2017 17:20 | With 2248 being worth (prospective resources) appx £700m and 47p per share to shareholders, thats a reasonable position for a farm in. I think that these figures are roughly right. | clickon
27/5/2017 09:07 | So who could be of interest to CLNR bearing in mind the location of the 2 deposits and are they big enough to create a farm-in? Until this farm-in is resolved Cluff is not worth more than 3p but who knows what the price could be with a suitable partner and that means with Mr Cluff possibly in charge and that begs further questions. | anley
26/5/2017 22:26 | Parkmead and INEOS are buying gas resources too! | wordog
26/5/2017 19:15 | Have I not been saying for ages it's all about The Gas now and not Oil? Oil is out of fashion! BP just proves my point, we are in the driving seat with the amount of oil we have ! | therealdeal5
26/5/2017 15:22 | We haven't even got out of the last mess, he wouldnt have a clue how to handle it, all Labour governments bust the economy. | clickon
26/5/2017 13:59 | Agreed clickon. O/T One possible silver lining for remain voters is that if Corbyn wins there is unlikely to be a good outcome of the Brexit talks. This could mean his calling another referendum and the UK then staying in the EU. Although remain had my vote I would now prefer to get on with the Brexit talks on a strong or at least firm, basis. On borrowing generally Corbyn who would have to borrow for nationalising water trains and so on not to mention increasing employment at Schools, the NHS and the police etc does not seem to have learned any lessons from the banking crisis - eg why is RBS still essentially a nationalised bank and where is Lehman Bros Bank today? | maytrees
26/5/2017 13:18 | Thank you Maytrees, I'm a bit concerned about the polls, if Corbyn gets in or some half baked coalition, l dont know what the market will do, the pounds already down. | clickon
26/5/2017 12:42 | lol clickon - have a good lunch and w/e! | maytrees
26/5/2017 12:38 | I need my lunch I mean 2.79 | clickon
26/5/2017 12:38 | The broker tried for 1.79 but couldn't get it. | clickon
26/5/2017 12:36 | Correction, he was the 176,192 at 2.8097, just over the mid price in blue, so actually showing correctly. | clickon |
