30 years ago, or so, management was proud to work for a company & their salary was incentive enough to do their job properly. Now salary is what they get for turning up at work - but then they need bribing to do any work.

If the salary isn't enough they should be awarded a rise - or the sack.

These need the sack.

No coincidence that the options where granted at the lowest point the shares have been since October 2010.That is blatant

fitton, I am also in CNR (which only releases positive news; only an explorer at the moment) and overlayed their chart...I think it's just the sector (based on a sample of 2!)

It's all about news it would appear...although in this market/economic times, that may not be enough.

PS - very cynical but that's the market. Perhaps one day it will be cleansed LOL

Would it be very cynical to suggest that there may be manipulation with the share price to allow for the recent investors at 92p to pick up cheap stock to counter the rather poor performance of there investment.Always look after your big investors, you may need them again.Or is it just bad luck that a company that has produced some very good news over the last few months, has one mine produing over 70,000oz,has two other potentially very lucrative assets, has been tipped by everyone as a great investment, is just not worth the money.Surley it can't be manipulation, after all you wouldn't get Barclays Bank fixing,of all things the Libor rate, would you!

Looks like the seller got a little carried away in the EOD auction...just hope that they're now rid of their lot.

Curious that the [ADVFN] volume indicator suggests mostly buys across the last few months yet the sp/sector downtrend intact.

IMO, until someone stops shorting/selling into any buying, it is going to be difficult to get out of the 60's...but I shall wait. I thought we had done earlier today. GLA

edit - and now there are 300's (ish) buys as opposed to sells. Go figure as they say.

UKG - I think all that can really be said at present is that the share price has established some sort of base from which advance is possible - even likely, when the market begins to pay more attention to fundamentals - with the usual market background provisoes, of course.

Yes not quite the 6 bagger that some rampers were suggesting 12m ago. But peeps still get sucked in by them....
But there is still plenty of upside in excess of £1 which seems rather modest..
This seems to be almost just sitting waiting for some news.Hopefully we will get a move higher instead of this slow drift lower every so often,,,imho

So the latest placing investors (£25m) bought in at 92p for a potential 10% uplift. Sweet.

I see ALD has given in and merged. Also, AVM is a lesson in the need to have a very competent set of professionals running the operations.

The Baomahun resource upgrade I believe only concerns the matter of moving 100k oz from inferred into the indicated category (from infill drilling), designed to strengthen further the DFS; I'm not expecting too much from this particular update.

Absolutely zero interest in this share from the wider market. Seems to be slowly, slowly drifting away lower as bored dissillusioned investors look else where. Can,t say i blame them, but its the waiting thats always the most difficult part...imho
