03/5/2012 20:32 | Blackrock increases holdings in a company - makes a change! | amargosa
02/5/2012 16:47 | They are hoping for a million oz resource at Yaoure - but the figures due in March 2012 were only drill results. However, other resource upgrades are due. | amargosa
02/5/2012 12:05 | how big a resource upgrade are expecting? | taffer87
30/4/2012 09:30 | From Jan RNS relating to IC: A second phase of diamond drilling focusing on the N-S structures, consisting of 2,000m across 9 holes, has commenced to follow up over a strike length of 700m and 250m down-dip, with results expected in March 2012. | amargosa
30/4/2012 08:05 | A number of milestones were achieved at Baomahun in 2011, including an updated resource statement in September 2011 setting out a 46% increase in indicated resources. This resource was optimised into an open pit by SRK Consulting Limited, demonstrating that the project is capable of producing at 135,000 ounces per annum for a robust eight year mine life. In the optimal economic scenario, the steeply dipping nature of ore body generates a high strip ratio, estimated at 12.6:1. With nearly 100,000 ounces of inferred resources contained within this open pit being treated as waste, the Company believes that there is good scope for the recently completed in- fill drilling programme to have reduced this figure by converting some of the inferred resources into measured or indicated categories. Resource modelling is underway and an updated resource statement is expected to be completed later in April 2012. This is the next key milestone for the project. I wonder if they are going to manage to to get the resource update in on time for once. 23/4/2012 09:22 | I think the Environmental permit was necessary to complete the Environment and Social Impact Assessment Study (ESIA), which is one component of the complete FS. So now that the forest boundary has been decided they can work on the ESIA - hence the 2 months they need in between announcing the permit and the Feasibility Study. | steadyriser
23/4/2012 08:38 | Judging by the buying going on. People agree! | c0cky
22/4/2012 22:43 | They have taken the opportunity to make the BFS more robust by refining it, adding efficiency measures and moving extra ozs into the indicated category. Should be the best BFS ever created when it comes out! | amargosa
22/4/2012 14:30 | The BFS was supposed to be released Oct 2011. It was delayed due to the issue with the forest boundary. The forest boundary issue is finally resolved and the Environmental Permit has been issued. Why has the BFS not been released? It should have been sitting on a shelf for months gathering dust. Why do we have to wait until the end of June 2012 for something which should be complete? "We are pleased to report the receipt of the environmental permit for Baomahun, and would like to express our gratitude to the Government of Sierra Leone for its continued support. This important milestone in the project's development will allow us to progress with the feasibility study, which remains on track for completion in H1 2012." | sithuk
20/4/2012 11:17 | Lifted from a post by Gaz on the gold thread. I don,t often go for the BS propaganda from KWN web site but this does put miners undervaluation into perspective. | pineapple1
20/4/2012 08:34 | well those results look great compared to ABG (which also hold), especially the way they're keeping down costs. I might have some more when I can see a bit of strength in the HUI & GDX. | ronnie corbet
19/4/2012 21:46 | Each and every small step forward seems to take so much time.Gold miners are out of favour as with most other mining companies.Cluff now have huge potential but who knows when it will be realised.Very, very frustrating. Any company looking to takeover Cluff may be waiting for more proven resources.Todays news was nothing more than was expected.I think only a massive increase in reserves is going to make any difference in this market. An extra 10m oz's should move the share price a few pence in the right direction. | fitton
19/4/2012 21:04 | Perhaps you're being a little harsh on the staff, IB, compared to other companies I could mention, they're saints - reasonably regular updates, always get the opportunity to ask questions of the directors via conference calls. Perfect - by no means. Well, I'm going to rattle out my theory one last time - now that the permit is in, there is a window of opportunity for a predator to come in BEFORE the financing for Baomahun is finalized. I cannot see why any large company would want to be tied into the terms agreed by a relatively small company like Cluff. That leaves about 2 months max for any attempt on the company. Perhaps they would want to wait for Sega to be signed off as well? I'm not saying I think there will be a T/O attempt (I doubt it actually), but IF a company were seeking the appropriate time to make a move, now would be the best time. Once the DFS is out and the finance arranged, it would be game over imv. Just a bit of fun really, the direction of the Market will determine what happens next to the sp, irrespective of news flow. | amargosa
19/4/2012 19:09 | Cluff Investor relations - As nobody in the Cluff team has a background in PR or appear to know what investors want to hear (NEWS). Then i am surprised they actually bother calling it this. One of the biggest issues that Cluff have had in the past 3 years is their complete LACK OF INTEREST to the people who actually own the company (THE ONES WITH SHARES). Cluff have a project in Guinea - What has happened to this? Cluff have other Burkina Faso exploration assets that they bought - Where are these on the website or in the results? Cluff are drilling daily - why not tell investors what they are finding? Have Cluff issued a load more options that they haven't told anyone about? Perhaps it is just down to the fact that the girls at head office have not had someone in the UK telling them what to do? I really do hope that the new Exec Chairman will change this and issue more regular RNS and update the website. IB | inside building
19/4/2012 15:32 | I emailed investor relations this morn to enquire if an audio copy of the annual results conference call was to be placed on the web site. I had a reply this afternoon stating there was now a link on the homepage, the direct link is below for those who may have missed it on Monday. Just a shame I had to chivy them to do it! | bushtuckaman
19/4/2012 15:24 | So the feasibility study by end of June and the permit in the bag and it goes down, cobblers. | selkirk69
19/4/2012 09:01 | Blimey, this really shows up the gold bear market. | corrientes
19/4/2012 06:15 | Two good bits of news in a row.We are being spoilt. Any rise in a gold miner at the moment comes as a surprise but lets hope we get a big surprise today.....imho | pineapple1
19/4/2012 06:09 | Permit received. Game on. The market had almost completely priced out Baomahun when the company started making noises that there were permit problems. Anyone want to take a guess at the share price rise today? April 19, 2012 Cluff Gold plc: Environmental Permit Received for the Baomahun Project in Sierra Leone LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - April 19, 2012) - Cluff Gold plc (AIM:CLF)(TSX:CFG), the dual listed West African focused gold mining company, is pleased to announce that it has received an environmental permit for the Company's 100% owned Baomahun Gold Project ("Baomahun") in Sierra Leone. The receipt of this permit will enable the Company to complete the environmental impact assessment for Baomahun, one of the last outstanding parts of the feasibility study which is due for completion in H1 2012. | sithuk
17/4/2012 12:55 | Some decent Buys today, Sp rising accordingly | addison17
16/4/2012 11:47 | Angovia has had a re-branding to Yaoure to reflect the change to a sulphides deposit. Believe that was the reason. | steadyriser
16/4/2012 11:23 | does anyone know what happened to Angovia mine in Ivory Coast. The last I remember was; "Our future in that country is likely to focus on the underlying sulphide system which holds out great hope for a future mine of some consequence and we shall be applying part of our US$32 million exploration budget to the Angovia licence, subject to our agreeing a working formula with the new administration. Angovia is blessed by reason of its proximity to the largest hydro-electric dam in that part of West Africa with benevolent implications for the cost of power." Didn't it account for 20k oz at one point? I seem to remember it being moth-balled at the time of the presidential dispute but it now seems to be forgotten...info anyone please? | glitter2
16/4/2012 07:39 | Any small miner with a resource of over 2m oz is 'in play'....so CLF remains a potential target. Plus CLF is making money and on a current PE of 13.33x. Added to that it has substantial cash resources. CLF is a no brainer to tuck away in your bottom draw. One day it will be taken out for 150p+. Bought a few more today below 80p, which must be a bargain. Good luck. | errollc |
