Looking at this and lloy which for a time seemed to be closely aligned due to no doubt the aforementioned 'Car Loan questionable practices' but that went out the window this pm as lloy went on a small correction and raced up to 43.40 level before running out of steam and all the way back to the opening levels.

CBG barely moved by comparison but will see how it pans out after the weekend

Looking very cheap to me but maybe just maybe has further to go

This one is in my peripheral vision still undecided

If they can maintain dividend is a stonking opportunity

In the queue for time being but with an outlandish order left.
Nothing ventured nothing gained

Good luck holders

Financial regulation and industry very different in ROI than UK. The acquisition will not be affected.

Market due to open down 0.5% today. Big test to see if the cbg share price holds up. Had a first buy at 532 a few days ago. Trading seems hopeful since then.

My thoughts exactly - but surely the problem was well documented at the time of aquisition?

In acquiring bluestone motor finance, has close increased its potential claims pool of incorrectly sold loans?

This all stems from the uncertainty of how much the car finance nonsense is going to impact on the bottom line.

Was taken aback by the ferocity of the Nat West drop a few weeks ago

Think this finance issue is at the moment hanging over Lloyds and here so will await clarity on this and whether Close can maintain the dividend before making any further decisions.

Funds running down as we approach year end so having to think long and carefully before committing any further funds to these nervous markets.

Best of luck everyone

This is beginning to look interesting.

Question is where will the bottom price be. This dipped under 500p a couple of times during the height of the credit crunch in 2008.

Therefore, I reckon we are not far off now. Always tricky though. Lots of fingers get burnt bottom fishing!! Not much sign of shorting and no holding rns's for clues. Hmmm!

There is a 1m sale / buy going through each day cob so far.
Question is with the £150-£300m fine estimate from analysts (but how can they know ), how many years profit will that consume

They know the possible exposures and should come clean. Saying nothing imo is not an option. Stewardship very poor here.
