egg, Divi had no influence, price is climbing?.

Posted earlier my investment at recovery stage, now over £10K in profit, and that precludes divis.

Can you beat it, Gentleman's question?

I too have losses, AVCT short, despite averaging (rare for me), end up at 113, still a loss, but I expect a crash at some point. Death Spirals rule.

Cheers

What is important when looking at dividend yields is, how well is the divi covered?

Just had a peak, 6.9%,beaten by Aviva, but when did Aviva splash out a special divi?

One takes ones chances, on the share price also of course.

That did not fair so well, I bought at 412, all counts doesn't it.

cheers

Fordtin,

Accepted, but special divi last year, was it 13.5P? Not checked, cannot be bothered.

You hold, get divi, bail out and hold again, whatever.

I'm too lazy, holding,

Aviva pretty good, but I reckon will beat them?

I always keep my options open, as fussing about long term holdings.

cheers

Dudishes -it depends what you mean by "Best divi on mkt".

There are plenty of companies paying higher dividends. I guess the best are not necessarilly the highest dividends, but the ones which are most likely to provide steady and sustainable dividend growth combined with steady and sustainable share price growth.

I hold CLIG shares, but they certainly didn't fit that description last year.
I'm hoping they might make the grade this year.

Hopefully somewhere in the lists below there'll be a few winners;

Any thoughts?

I'm just wondering boys, could this be the year, we get taken over, Karpus retiring, 36% holding, plenty of cash on the balance sheet.Price would have to be 550p. Still in the meantime collect our dividend why we wait.

Triple witching hour, with expiry of options and Futures & options on futures or some such nonsense in USA today. Boomberg reported underlying contract values ran into over a trillion dollars.,
