We don't seem to have any pre-drill shenanigans here just yet, but I am hopeful.

Edit: Or perhaps we do, but just not of the sort that I want :( but there is time.

belisce6,

It's a broad church here - we can cope with posters wider activities. We know it goes on anyway, so why be coy?

haha.. on some other threads u will get dished for commenting on ur own lots...
i loosened up about 20% of holding in BPC and TRP, to get a similar amount i have in those, here in CHAR... after reading about CHAR, GBP, TRP (in regrds to Namibia)... i think that CHAR and TRP r the ones to be in... (am also in BPC-Bahamas, and WHN-Seychelles-aussie stok xchange, due to them having most of tenements in new frontier non explored areas) -effectively 4 penny share hopefuls, but each holding so much new frontier oil exploration ground as first comers that i think the gamble is worth it... just due to speculation hitting these and then u have the pre-drill shenanagins etc.. which usually give a few multiples rise...

Ha! Your probably right CHAR was always one of my long term ones but in mid-feb didn't expect it to be still under 29p given newsflow due in 6 weeks, itchy fingers and all that so I've also dipped into my trading fund. Seeing a support line at 28.5p.

Unfortunately, whilst the share price may be disconnected from reality, it is very much connected to my share accounts.

Well done HB.

Sounds like initial presentation, and give analysts time to take positions then news on 7th the same time it is presented.

Quite pleased with that as heavy in CHAR at the moment but think might also take a trading position if I can around 28.75p.

am rather surprised by lack of movement considering overall markets having gone up some 12% in this early part of 2013... hope that means that when there is a correction in the broader markets, these stocks that i hold (bpc, char, trp) will be heading up :-))

Interestingly Mauritania and Morocco acreage - in total - is approx the same as Namibia I believe. Waiting on CPR for them etc...but hey...valued at zero by the market. LOL.

similar valuation--jimmy iii cheers

Re: Galp (AKA Sinopec) expanding ops

This is yet another example of the oil industry putting a value on exploration acreage and the stock market will not.
In the Galp deal for Morroco they will spend $41 million for past costs and a well on a prospect with mean prospective resources of 450 million for a 50% interest.
Or to put it another way GALP are paying $0.1822 per mean prospective bbl.

This compares to the stockmarket valuation for Chariots entire exploration portfolio of NIL

If Chariot was valued on this basis, eg it farmed out its Namibian acreage with mean propspective barrells of 9Bn bbls for a 50% interest it would be worth £2.52 per share for its Namibian acreage alone.
