09/11/2012 14:40 | binladin is a troll, he did the same on the GKP board when we were going through a lull. Filter it. | ![]() ozzmosiz

09/11/2012 13:59 | Level 2 seems a bit more benign than usual. Are the IIs' traders down the pub? edit: so much for that! | ![]() triples

08/11/2012 23:14 | Thanks to Tarles on ixi.... Maurel & Prom won licences as operator offshore Namibia in March 2012 with PGS as a co-partner. PGS hold 48% of these licences. They'll probably fund the 2D and 3D themselves and then farm down. They must be very confident. [Chariot farmed out 10% to PGS in August 2011 with 2D being shot in Q4/11. I don't think PGS had these results when they would have started the bid process for the other licences. They must have seen something they liked to pick up 50% of the seismic tab for 10% of Chariot and then whatever they have agreed with M&P.] Worth having another look at this to see where Enigma, M&P and HRT are located relative to each other in the Centrals. | ![]() triples
08/11/2012 22:59 | I thought it was 0.2% to disclose to the FSA but 0.5% for that to then be made public. Anyhow, it is way better than 3% for longs and much better than what existed before 1st Nov. And yes, there may be a few short positions coming out of the woodwork as the process beds in. | ![]() triples
08/11/2012 22:37 | Also we don't know when the 1.6% was opened, it could have been weeks ago and was originally a larger position. | ![]() newswseller
08/11/2012 22:34 | Triples 0.2% is the threshold for disclosure. Not a huge amount. I hold more than that.Kinda reassuring that there is only 2 above this level | ![]() newswseller
08/11/2012 22:19 | HB... Er, okay. I didn't know that, but I am learning a lot about shorters' compliance at the moment :( If there are two IIs that have had to disclose their short positions because they hit certain thresholds, then there will nearly the same amount of shares being shorted by those IIs just under the threshold. What do those very well paid professionals see that I don't see? I do suffer from confirmation bias and I am concerned that I have missed a big issue here. I have trawled around O&G for five or six years now and have done okay. I really do like the look of Chariot post Nimrod duster, but I do have my blind spot and wonder whether Chariot is smack in the middle of it. Lots of seasoned investors are here and in some size by the sound of it, so I am in good company. But why the shorters? | ![]() triples
08/11/2012 22:06 | Triples - the stock on loan will be off because the graph is looking at stock on loan as a percentage of what is cleared in the clearing house, but the FSA figures are the stock on loan as a percentage of total shares in issue... | hedgebetter
08/11/2012 21:47 | Another thing.... that Stock on Loan chart in the header seems a bit off. Per the fsa disclosure, there are ~ 5m shares on loan straight away. | ![]() triples
08/11/2012 21:34 | It may be the short leg of a pair trade, the long leg being another O&G company with more near term prospects (HRT?) | ![]() triples
08/11/2012 19:45 | 2 shown as shorting Sunrise Partners Limited Partnership 0.73% (1.46m shares) Oxford Asset Management 1.61% (3.2m) Gotta wonder why an American company is shorting this when it's got such a small market cap already, they haven't got any other shorts disclosed. | ![]() newswseller

08/11/2012 13:08 | There are a few postings on other sites with various significant shareholdings being published. I have cobbled these together. I have tried to be careful but there may be errors in this data. DYOR, etc. | ![]() triples
08/11/2012 12:11 | Amazed to see this share so "dead in the water" and when it fell like a stone in early September on such high volume equally amazed at the lack of any meaningful bounce. You can only admire the way the institutional holders have killed all volatility and pushed the share off the radar. Once CHAR have expended its funds and doubtless after the next capital raising exercise is concluded CHAR will be off and running again to make those patient enough some major money. Maybe. | ![]() bobsidian
