Once a BP guy, always, a BP guy.

They have it engraved on their golf clubs.

------
Anyway, I have no idea what is going on,

But hey, it is,

The big indicator for me is the share volume, turn over,

When say, 50%, of a companies shares are traded, the share price usually goes up or down, by a large margin.

We have been at 30p for an age. We now know for certain, the share share price is controlled.

What way now, my bet, Larry will take us down.

AIMmO.

LB hasn't worked for BP for years as far as I can see. Why is he a stooge for BP?

Guys,

This is not good news, short term.

We now have a BP clone controlling our company.

The share price will go down, for the take over.

The share price is going down, this is how I read it.

Chariot has four Guernsey-registered subsidiaries starting with 'Chariot'. They are Namibia, Mauritania, Morocco AND Gabon. Nothing for Greece.

I wonder what the Gabon one has bid on? It may, of course, have not been successful.

There's an interesting post by CEObob over on ixi regarding directors and Helios.

The question is whether LB is still a director of Helios.

I have had a look at the Guernsey company registrar website for Helios (53116). A change of director form was received and scanned by the registrar yesterday, 5th November. It is not available for purchase just yet but I expect it will be soon.

My guess is that it is LB's resignation as a director of Helios.

Having has a look at the Helios website, it is hard to tell if Helios has or hasn't acquired any licences, etc, in its countries of interest in Africa.

I suspect that LB has moved across to Chariot as it appears to have a busier upcoming schedule.

All imho except the details about the change of director form received yesterday by the registrar.

greyingsurfer,

You are right that an executive chairman is unusual and not best practice. How does PW now fit in? Executive chairman overrules CEO.

Let's hope there is enough to keep them both very busy and goal-congruent.

Triples - both - they are not mutually exclusive :-) I usually buy crashes and have seen the de-rampers time and again with 20:20 hindsight disappear as soon as things start coming right.

The MM's will play their games but they are just accumulating - on a fairly flat line - to sell later..their business model is all about volume and the bigger volumes will come at higher prices when positive news keeps coming and cannot be ignored any longer...this will churn all the way back up and they know it...

Newseller - hub is just trying to be a Muppet - and he's no good at that either

I don't buy the 'nothing gonna happen till they start drilling' otherwise all companies would flatline or decline for months.

Triples i don't get it either. No bounce at all in almost two months, well over 100% of the company traded and only 2 holding RNS. No other expo trading well under cash levels, even when you take into account the cost if latest seismics.Seen nothing like this before, usually when i start to question my investment it starts to go back up.

To be able to buy that amount, you must have played some good hands in the past or you are nuts !

I think you'll do really well with your holding here, but I am bit biased.

I don't get what's happening with the price but I reckon 2013 will see this moving up nicely once HRT's drills are underway.

Lots of volume after 4pm and an odd auction too. UT = ~175k at 27.5p

3.5m traded, so a fairly large volume day.

Testing peoples' patience, no doubt.

Slide 22 tells you everything you can expect,

Unexpected before Q1 - HRT farmout? more director buys?, offer for the co? TW Mauritania drilling, Nimrod 2 announcement. Central resource update, etc

Trading way under cash now, so can't see a better value explorer out there.

There are lots of other explorers with hardly any cash and tiny prospects and yet trading way above cash levels.

Having done a bit of research here, I understand that this is basically a news driven share however I can't see with any clarity when the next piece of major news is expected as clearly the share price will just continue to drift slowly down until such time.
I know that it is not a cut and dried issue but my question is...Is there a reasonable expectation that there will be a piece of news that has a major impact on the share price before christmas?

Copy of an OLD POST on ixi by star trader, post dated 2nd Nov 2011:

4) Could you please explain the relationship between Herios and Chariot . In particular could you please elaborate on the role of Larry at Chariot. Larry was appointed as a non-executive director in September by Chariot and within 1 month he was appointed as the CEO of Herios and is now using most of the staff and board members of Chariot in his new venture.
Helios Oil & Gas is a new, private company that is a subsidiary of the Pella Resources group. Larry Bottomley is CEO of Helios and is the driving force behind the new company. Larry was previously with Perenco, Hunt Oil and BP and has a long history of building E & P businesses. As a Non-Executive Director of Chariot Oil & Gas, Larry is not involved in the day to day running of the Chariot business. Helios shares some directors with Chariot, although this is a separate company and wholly independent of Chariot. Some of Chariot's team will supply technical services whilst Helios is in its infancy but their focus remains on Chariot as they are Chariot employees. Any technical services they provide will be fully reimbursed by Helios which is privately funded by Pella Resources. Chariot's focus remains firmly on developing and progressing its asset portfolio in Namibia and continues to consider new opportunities that will fit into Chariot's portfolio too. There are different investment criteria for new venture opportunities for Chariot and Helios and therefore no conflict of interest.

star trader then posts in the same post:

4)Annabel has refused to elaborate the role of Larry. Why was Larry brought in in September only for him to become CEO of Helios and hire most of the BOD and senior management of Chariot.

I don't think the share price will go much lower. It may go to 27.5 intraday to set off triggers and stop losses, but it will then bounce and go back up. A strong buy at this price, just wish I had more funds at this moment in time.

Having just seen a ~100k sell flash though at 27.75p on L2, I don't think PIs can take all the blame for the slow sell-off.

News from HRT, SQZ, ECO, PCO, CHAR, etc needed.
