I reckon you could well be right. There was an identical trade reported after hour yesterday too. It didn't look like a cancellation.

Im beginning to think that 950k trade yesterday might have been one of the shorts reducing, will no doubt find out after 4.30 today when the fsa list is published, however not everyone is sticking to the 1 day reporting rule.

PGS are really, really serious about Namibia.

They have farmed in with Chariot, Eco, Maurel & Prom and others too, iirc.

They know an oil region when the see one!

Buy Farm Out Valuation
jimmy24
We all know that Chariot is trading at a discount to its current cash value.
However, in trying to determine the value of its exploration acreage one way is to look at the farm out valuation.
Tullow oil have just farmed into Hyperdynamics acreage offshore Guinea in West Africa, south of Mauritania where Chariot have acreage.

The details of the farm in are at

Hyperdynamics are similar to Chariot in that they have large 3D data set and have well control in the 3D, although such a well was unsuccessfull.

Tullow are paying $25 million in back costs plus a $37 million well carry for a 40% well interest, total $62 million

Using that as a comparison to value Chariots Central and Northern Licences would valued Chariot at $100 million for cash +$124 million for value post farm out.+ the value of Block 2714 A + the Mauritania at $64 million + Morroco at say $30 million, as there is no 3D. V
Total value =$218 million = £0.68 per share compared to current price of £0.26,and thats without any drilling success.

HRT Farm In
grizzle1

It appears that Peter O´Brien, ex Rosneft VP /and Morgan Stanley, and current HRT Council member was the buyer of 2m shares in HRT last week.

News from Brazil bbs indicate that at the earnings teleconf last week, MM let slip that he was confident of getting 100m per farm out. In addition, they seem to have changed the 1st drill location from wingat to meerkat PEL 23 which previously HRT said they would only do if persuaded by the farm in partner.

So, possibility that there is either a 2nd farm in partner in discussion, or 1 "eminente" partner wants to double up - Eminente refers to Big Oil - and presumably up the ante.

IMO we should see an announcement this week as there is growing speculation on the market and boards in Brazil.

"Fears are growing that Arab oil producers could find themselves dragged into the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians," said a report from Commerzbank in Frankfurt. "We therefore assume that prices will continue to rise."

The fighting comes just as winter arrives in the U.S. and China, boosting energy demand.

Meanwhile, expectations that President Barack Obama and U.S. congressional leaders will reach a budget deal by the end of the year and avoid the "fiscal cliff" of tax increases and spending cuts also bolstered oil prices.

Chariot Oil & Gas Limited

("Chariot", the "Company" or the "Group")

3D seismic programme commenced in Block C19 offshore Mauritania
Chariot Oil & Gas Limited (AIM: CHAR), the independent Africa focused oil and gas exploration company, is pleased to announce that it has commenced its 3D seismic survey in Block C19 offshore Mauritania, which was acquired in April 2012 (90% working interest and operatorship). The Company has contracted Fugro-Geoteam AS to carry out a 3,500km(2) programme in water depths ranging from 30m up to 2,000m. The programme is anticipated to take 90 days to complete.

This 3D seismic survey fulfills Chariot's initial three year work commitment within Block C19 and is intended to identify structural and stratigraphic traps, with the latter in particular offering potential for large trap sizes.Once acquired and processed the survey will be interpreted to define drillable prospects. The Company will report its results after this process has been completed.

Paul Welch, CEO of Chariot, commented:
"We are very pleased to be able to commence this seismic operation so soon after acquiring the licence. This is largely due to the support provided by the Ministries of Environment, Fisheries and Energy and it is this spirit of cooperation that makes Mauritania such a great country in which to conduct our business."

What a great presentation, not so much his delivery but the CONTENT.

Proprietary data sets from Kab-1--

Made 2714B more attractive when the Kab-1 data is viewed.Nice.

Would have been "commercial" onshore--so as I thought not a DUSTER as such. When's HRTs Farm out completed(BP)?:-)lol.

BP/Petro in for long haul in Namibia.

Lots of interest in Farm outs for Central Blocks and its the Farm out route that will finance the next few wells,so no finance needed.

Namibia still 14Bbls+ of prospective resources.

Commercial discovery next on the agenda imo.

Plus Mauritania/Morocco

all for NOWT????

Still well under cash ONLY value which stood at $112Million.

If Char strikes Oil in Namibia(very good chance now listening to the info from OB)or indeed if anyone else strikes Oil there, then we are looking at one hell of an opportunity here with a similar feel to GKP Pre Shaikan imo.

I'm more excited,the more I hear.

Cheers for posting that OB presentation.Great stuff.

Having watched it at least 5 times - this is a 'screaming buy' - as Paul Welch expressed to one of the iii attendees in a side conference.

There are relatively few shorts and I am looking forward to squeezing them out asap. Plenty of RNS's to come as highlighted in the Oilbarrel conference presentation and in the recent Chariot presentations on their website. Farmout's will come think and fast. I am still topping up - but am conscious that the lows have now gone....
