From Chariot's website about Larry Bottomley: "... and a key aspect of his work has been in the creation, development and delivery of significant drilling programmes that have led to the discovery and development of giant oil fields."

Let's hope he gets to do that all again.

Chariot Oil & Gas Limited (AIM: CHAR), the independent Africa focused oil and gas exploration company, is pleased to announce that Larry Bottomley has been appointed as Executive Chairman with immediate effect. Adonis Pouroulis remains on the Board in the role of Non-Executive Director.

Hi Ando, hope you are well, bigger indices do look rogered, and i have a constant "note to self" to start scaling in short, but haven't started just yet.

Solo (and i'm in and long, so maybe guilty of having a mindset) sorry, don't know how to post charts (must try harder!!) but if you look at the weekly close line chart (not log) we have a falling bullish wedge from November 11, 1(hit lower line) April 12 2,hit upper,May 12, 3, hit lower, July 12 , 4 hit upper, and 5 hit lower in Aug /Sept and slight underthrow which is common, buts up on high vols, target? 1.18 is Apex in July 11 Also poss in right shoulder of IHS which has been dev since June 12, target 0.8

I dont see SOLO jumping somewhere yet. Not this year....The data is not enough for certainties on charting however the channel is clear and has to be broken...Not this year well into the the next year...

i read in naked trader that if Robbie wanted to buy a lot of stock in a company and he would put two trades through with seperate brokers at the same time. might explain the dupes

There are more of those pairs of O trades separated by a few seconds this am. Buys. Like we said, it looks like someone is accumulating. Why the double trades though?

It drilled two high-risk exploration wells offshore Namibia - formerly considered one of East Africa's most exciting oil and gas frontiers - but both ended in disappointment. Unforgiving investors consequently sold off the company's shares, to the point that the market capitalisation of Chariot is now at an 18 per cent discount to its estimated cash holdings of $112m (£70m).

Just read that IG are taking long spreadbets again/still.

That's good for long term punters. I reckon that the window to open up long spreadbets will only last a short while and that anyone doing so should be prepared to hold a loss for a while.

agree Re accumulation.DMA/Order booki manipulation means the accumulator is in control,until the share price is unleashed.Just wait and see what occurs and when.

In addition to the shareholder increases by Barclays and Hargreaves, the following should be noted.

1. Tapir South well evaluation to be completed by end of Q4 12. However some more details are emerging about the Tapir South well, 173 meters of 24% porosity sand present, Cenomanian Turonian surce rocks were present but immature.
2. 3D seismic Cube for the Centrals delivered 2 Nov, so it will take a few weeks to carry out mapping before prospective resources can be announced.
3. mauritania 3D seismic starting 15th Nov
4. No comparative valuation table.
5. No comment on Block 2714 B
6. Chariot intends to drill 2 wells in 2013 and is fully funded for its requirements.

500k is another 0.25% of the company being bought. Simple accumulation.

There were about ten pairs of same size O trades (all buys) each pair separated by about 10 or so seconds.

~ 09:58 2 x 263k (include?)

~ 16:02 2 x 25k
~ 16:25 2 x 40k

(There were some others as well but on conditional orders.)

Ignoring the 263k pair, the rest add up 510k shares, so about £145k worth. That's not a PI doing that buying in my view.

Here's a screen shot of the trades printed out from the a Level 2 package I use. I have printed out all trades from 4pm.



You can see some of the dual trades appearing here, so I don't think it's an advfn glitch. (see 16:09:54 and 16:11:22)
