Hi whatsup, looks quite on here today, not had chance to look at it much today, I've got somebody's whole house to sort out on my own, been working Sat & Sun as well. Beginning to think I should retire soon lol. My wife (58) got another 8 years to go before she gets retires ( she enjoys her job in finance ) I would just feel a bit guilty with her going to work and me with my feet up.

Yes jp . Cna seems the most strong in my list of energy stocks . I broke into a profit for about an hour with Vodafone, unfortunately before I could get the buntings out it turned to a loss again.

I used Weiss ft . £78 for two litres inc next day delivery. I used it to enhance the natural colours in the stone and give it a wet look .

If it’s for the drive way I would go for a cheaper sealant. 1 ltr of Weiss covers just 20sq metres. On 35 sq metres I used 2 Litres and could have used another 1 ltr. Make sure the area to be sealed is completely dry and clean before applying.

Asset light, cash-richShares in British Gas owner Centrica (LSE: CNA) have fallen by more than 60% over the past five years as investors have lost confidence in management's ability to turn the business around. There is reason to be concerned about Centrica's outlook. Customers are fleeing the company with nearly 1m leaving over 2017 and during the first quarter of 2018. Still, I believe that the group's current 7.6% dividend yield is here to stay. Why do I have this view? Well, CEO Iain Conn has promised shareholders that the dividend will remain in place as long as net debt stays below £3.3bn and adjusted operating cash flow stays within its target of a £2.1bn-£2.3bn range. On the debt front, Centrica has already made substantial progress with net debt falling to £2.6bn at the end of 2017. Further asset sales are planned, including Centrica's 20% share in the UK's fleet of nuclear power stations, which should push debt down further. Regarding cash flows, the firm has increased is cost efficiency programme by £500m to £1.3bn a year by 2020. This should offset some of the revenue declines. Analysts are expecting cost cutting to help the group achieve EPS growth of 6% for 2018. With EPS forecast to come in at 13.5p for 2018, dividend cover will be 1.1 times. After considering all of the above, I'm willing to give Centrica's dividend the benefit of the doubt - it certainly seems as if management is committed to the distribution for the time being. As well as the 7.6% dividend yield, the shares also trade at a discount forward P/E of 11.5.

£1 billion value in 2014 and down to £66 million 2016. That’s a beating , lesson there for all of us I think is that we shouldn’t have all our eggs in one basket.

Says the man who’s all in Vodafone and 2.5% down in a day

Looking at the long term chart in the header this rises takes a little dip and then pushes to a new high. Currently, I would say, all the news is now in the price and we can take the next step.

I learnt my lesson with Monitise (MONI) mobile payments, near field technology, I think it ended up being buried in a field.

capeview. As Nortic 007 would say. ‘if my aunt had balls she’d be my uncle’

I got into computers very late as well.

The thing with MSFT is about 15 years ago ,9/11 attack occurred and investors with no USA residency could not trade in shares any longer. So I bought Microsoft thinking I can hold onto those and not worry about it for 15 years and that’s exactly what happened.
Bought at $25 back then. Had I been free to trade I would most likely had sold them as they didn’t perform for about5 years.

So the credit really goes to USA Goverment

Whatsup, if I'd known more when I was younger and into computers about the stock market, MS would have been one I would have loved to have owned over the years.

Now it's just the time to find the next MS or Amazon.

I dismissed the advice anyway. There are a few people here I would listen to then make up my own mind.
Back into Vod , down 1.5% from my buy point. Trading update next week and at lows.
It’s either a yatcht or the dole .

Probably the dole line .

Ps . I got a result on MSFT , all time highes now and trading 4% higher after hrs. Had those for 15 odd years, best investment ever and dividends re invested . :) . Sorry for the brag

Im not in on this stock but I see Garycook posts on this board.
He posted a message to me on the Galiford try board which was appreciated and I see he posted a list of stock on this board 18th July very helpful to know there are some genuine people giving advice.
Has anyone checked out BATS im in already a few weeks ago but looks like they're finally on a run after being flat for a couple of months ranging between 37.00 and 38.50 I also hold IMB as these are both good divi payers.

All the best and good luck with your holding.

Regards
Ken.
