03/7/2018 13:01 | If it reaches 168.05 i will bk some profit. | action
03/7/2018 12:51 | It’s like the wild Wild West today, Tullow just had a court judgement go against them, I’m taking cover here | mercer95
03/7/2018 12:21 | Mercer95. The biggest fine for Bribery by a foreign company in the states was just under $1billion and it could take 4 years to finalise the court case. Let’s say it’s $1billion fine that would aquate to 5p . Glen has dropped 36p currently . The share price has been gradually going down and I’m thinking when US starts trading it may get another kicking. I was thinking of a day trade but getting cold feet now. | whatsup32
03/7/2018 12:07 | it's had a few attempts to break 161 and seems to be consolidating for another move up. Ive bought a few FOOT today as the drop there seems very much overdone and is due a bounce. | knowing
03/7/2018 12:05 | I’ve never traded Glencore, the recovery in its share price up until today is impressive, I know it’s invested in the nuts & bolts of oil production but a bulk of its cash flow is dependent on trading commodities, too many possible pitfalls guessing the commodity market for me.The drop today is brutal, heavy duty volume & 50000 trades gone through before mid day UT auction is huge. | mercer95
03/7/2018 11:34 | Www.alphavilft.com there is a thread on glen . You may like reading There is a direct link on glen. Board here | whatsup32
03/7/2018 11:26 | Tasty price action but will it stick above 160? | supermarky
03/7/2018 11:24 | I still hold some 50/- but won't sell. | nortic 007
03/7/2018 11:20 | Not disappointed :) .As my old broker used to say. “No body went bankrupt taking a profit.” Glencore . Subpoenaed and down 9% today. Any views , I was wondering if there may be a follow trough drop when states open | whatsup32
03/7/2018 11:15 | Never look back | nortic 007
03/7/2018 11:14 | Law of sod | nortic 007
03/7/2018 11:13 | Just as I sell it motors up. Story of my life :) | whatsup32
03/7/2018 10:28 | Not that silly, you can always buy back in & you got a better return than the banks give on savings,a win is a win, good luck | mercer95
03/7/2018 10:14 | Yes did good. Made 1% over 3 weeks. Silly really to sell for a 1% But so many times it went into profit and I decided to hold a little longer only to see it go negative. thing now is to take a profit where I can. | whatsup32
03/7/2018 09:54 | Cheers whatsup, SSE on my watch list but I would have to sell here, hope the trade went well, come back on board the good ship Centrica lol no advice intended just we need help breaking the 160p level #crackthisnut | mercer95
03/7/2018 09:33 | Mercer95 . Just sold SSE . I’m posting as you are interested in SSE | whatsup32
03/7/2018 08:41 | jpjohn1. I hope you are not holding glencore!! | strutt12
03/7/2018 08:40 | Lol not really whatsup, it’s true what you say about air conditioners & there’s all these massive servers/data banks that need cooling now, ADVFN live streaming has been having a few problems recently, usually afternoon when US markets open, I’m sure it’s the servers overheating, shutting down & rebooting, they can’t cope with the warm weather, the problems get fixed quick enough. | mercer95
03/7/2018 08:37 | 160 a real obstacle at the moment. Try try try again. | supermarky
03/7/2018 08:25 | Better article then mine :) | whatsup32
03/7/2018 07:45 | Good article in the Guardian ‘U.K. heatwave helps solar power to record highs” Not sure how exposed CNA is to Solar power , still those air conditioners must be running at full whack , also refrigerators use a lot of energy . All positive. | whatsup32
02/7/2018 21:40 | CNA did well to buck the FTSE trend today. How will whole market react to Friday's "lock-in" at chequers? Markets already nervous with Trump challenging everyone he trades with. | m4rtinu
02/7/2018 14:54 | SSE and CNA are much of the same except and this is the reason I jumped out of one and into the other. Their tie up with nPower looks like getting the green light They should ???? Be having a run up to xdiv (CNA has already paid out) I paid 13.45 average Break even 13.52 for your reference Having said that Centrica seems to be doing well. Fingers crossed. As you rightly stated impossible to know. | whatsup32
02/7/2018 14:48 | Impossible to know what’s the right or wrong move all the time, cut your losses, let your winners run is great in theory but it’s working on the presumption you know the future, some of my big losers turn into winners & the opposite applies. I’m gonna look into SSE, be nice to get another dividend in somewhere else before the next one here. | mercer95 |
