07/3/2018 19:07 | With our last update I think we can positive about this company, we have a great dividend till 2020 so no panic. It can be a bit frustrating when it goes up well just to see it drop down to just a little rise. I said earlier it don't sound much 1p but it nearly a 1000 pound to me | jpjohn1
07/3/2018 18:48 | I sold out too early in go compare getting out at 98p in the morning and seeing a rise to £1.02 the same day with a high of £1.17 since so i am staying with cna for the rise back above £2 which imo WILL happen | masterblaster
07/3/2018 17:52 | An annoying game to be sure. I baled out of RMG at 450p recently, feeling pleased with myself. Then Moya Green CEO, shortly afterwards announced the wage dispute was over, the pension problem sorted and blowout profit expected for this year. Very painful. We both would suffer similar pain if we baled out on CNA only to see it go above 200p. Selling early and watching the share rise feels more painful than buying early and watching it fall. | careful
07/3/2018 17:31 | Yes careful, I use to own RMG about a year ago (60k). Out of all the shares I owned in the last 12 months this is the only one that has risen from my sell price, all the others I had would be at a loss now | jpjohn1
07/3/2018 17:16 | It is all a matter of strategy. if jpjohn1 had sold all of his CNA in November and switched to RMG, He would be 60% up, with generous tax losses. You have to be fleet of foot in this game. | careful
07/3/2018 16:48 | After going up 3.5p and looking good , to drop like that, sometimes I think why bother. +.85p we lost .9p yesterday. Time not watch it anymore and catch up at the end of the day | jpjohn1
07/3/2018 16:40 | Never lets you down.lol | nortic 007
07/3/2018 16:31 | What handicap would you be as an investor? (To be scratch you need to beat the FTSE100 index 4 years out of 5) I realise that anyone on the CNA thread is probably an investment hacker. | careful
07/3/2018 16:29 | Jp. It’s all new to me . I’ve worked all my life, seems like since I was a baby so retirement is not coming easy. | whatsup32
07/3/2018 16:10 | I really could do with a hobby. Getting bored to death on my new semi retirement. Stuck on this computer all day lately . Probably getting under wife’s feet. | whatsup32
07/3/2018 16:06 | When you're bored, you start looking for anything to keep yourself interested. Just looking at the LSE Market Status looks like the Brexit result. 31% Remainers, 33% leavers, 37% couldn't be bothered to vote. lol Yes, I am that bored. | capeview
07/3/2018 16:02 | Me and golf it was always the first 4 holes that did me in, so I stopped playing as I was getting fed up of the Bunkers. ;) | capeview
07/3/2018 16:02 | Looking like we may be having a good finish today. Once the uncertainty is over we may begin to see its true value | whatsup32
07/3/2018 15:54 | It's like my golf. After the 14th my score looks good but it's always those last 4 holes that does me in :) | nortic 007
07/3/2018 15:42 | A good post on LSE free BB by fruitster is worth a read as to why cna should be £1.70 | masterblaster
07/3/2018 15:41 | NG seem to like it, up 19p +. 2.5% | jpjohn1
07/3/2018 15:39 | 1p does not sound much, and if you are not holding many it's not so bad, but for me it's nearly 1,000 pound :( | jpjohn1
07/3/2018 15:28 | I know the feeling!! | jpjohn1
07/3/2018 15:19 | I just watching all the gains evaporating yet again.... truly amazing. | nortic 007
07/3/2018 14:53 | Just watching Phillip Hammond on TV. Just thought, if he ever needed a new job, he looks rather like the Smoking Man in The X Files, so if they needed a face double for older scenes, here's there man. :) | capeview
07/3/2018 14:01 | Just the power of google! | skinny
07/3/2018 13:47 | Skinny, you sure you're not an AutoBot. Always GiF's to hand. ;) | capeview
07/3/2018 13:10 | I know the feeling capeview, poor old mans working here has well. I need the money | jpjohn1
07/3/2018 13:02 | I suppose if we look at the good side of things when it comes to the dividend, even if the share price stays like this until Ex Div date, the drop of 8.4p on the share won't be a bad thing as we're already used to it, just depends on how high the share price has gone by then. If it stays in the 1.40's until then, then buying some more at 1.30's could be a no brainer, but if the shares are reaching 1.60's by then(Yeah, pigs may fly ;)) then at least it's heading in the right direction. Yes, I know, and all the other stuff. But at least the Sun is out where I am and staring at the screen all day doesn't help. ;) | capeview |
