09/11/2017 12:21 | It was interesting to see the drop in SSE share price yesterday. This was mostly because of their update, their 6 month profit was down. The only area of their business which grew was the services side, services are what centrica does best :) This is taken from the link below...SSE’s pre-tax profits fell more than 40pc to £402.2m for the first half of the year, with lower profits for its networks business and portfolio of power generation assets. SSE said its household retail business made a loss, but its services and business supply divisions helped to boost its profits to £70m for the first half of the year from £60m last year.... | hamhamham1
09/11/2017 11:51 | well I'm in FWIW, one of the ditherers on the fence until now but if yesterday is anything to go by have a feeling the tide is now turning. | wi1l
09/11/2017 11:50 | Trading Statement for CNA due 23rd November. | nick rubens
09/11/2017 11:46 | When is the update due? | capeview
09/11/2017 11:40 | I reckon there will be small run up ahead of the update and then the update should give some direction, hopefully much better than the market seems to be fearing at the moment. | nick rubens
09/11/2017 11:34 | Was hoping for a slightly better day. There's always tomorrow:( | nortic 007
09/11/2017 10:33 | Glad we closed in the low 170s yesterday. Hopefully 170 will now provide a bit of support. | hamhamham1
09/11/2017 10:19 | Quite an interesting read.... | hamhamham1
09/11/2017 08:15 | If national grid can't please the market today I don't what can they are a stable well run business we no competition really and growing in the US. Hope cna can relieve the market ! On the day | mj19
09/11/2017 04:56 | Yeah, we are being robbed. This should be in the 220-240p area. | gaffer73
08/11/2017 22:50 | SSE/NPOWER combined cap I estimate will be about £20bn. CNA less than half of this amount. something seems wrong, not that much difference. Anyone have any thoughts about this relative value? | careful
08/11/2017 16:50 | Was happy to make my entry at 167 and 165 ..sounds good but in reality only time will tell | badtime
08/11/2017 16:48 | Good day today chaps, it's about time. I think CNA as been oversold and people are realising the value and excellent dividend they offering, still a long, long way to go before I break even but it's getting there. :) | jpjohn1
08/11/2017 16:25 | I'm guessing buyers will chance it ahead of the update too, just in case it's not that bad and maybe even fairly good considering the price cap cloud at the moment. | nick rubens
08/11/2017 16:23 | Well I finally made my first purchase. My theory goes that there are many buyers waiting on the side just trying to judge that moment when they think it has stopped falling. For me it will be buying further on the way up. Kind of the other way round to averaging down, but averaging up. If it falls again, I'll have to consider averaging down instead. lol | nick rubens
08/11/2017 16:08 | Hopefully looking like a good one too. | capeview
08/11/2017 16:05 | Well enjoy the food and beer. Tomorrow's another day :) | hamhamham1

08/11/2017 15:57 | Portside, maybe let's both try and curb the rants, let's see how long we both can last (I will find it hard I think) | hamhamham1
08/11/2017 15:54 | Ham, it's like the same record every share, he Rants like this on every thread about how bad the company is, how they are all crooks and how poor everyone around him is, and how this and that. Well, you get the picture. It was Tesco last time now it's CNA. | capeview
08/11/2017 15:54 | Although I am slightly guilty of the latter but am trying to improve :) | hamhamham1
08/11/2017 15:51 | Portside. I don't mean to be rude but you just do two things on this website.... 1) gloat about your position and profits....2) Capital rant at everything under the sun.... Neither of which I bet anyone on hear really wants to endure. Am sure if you just discuss this particular share in an adult fashion then all will want to debate and be civil back. | hamhamham1
08/11/2017 15:44 | well I am now level got the div and now for a big rise on my holdings what a great share this as been for me | portside1
08/11/2017 15:43 | Actually Ham, let me just sort out the Record Player. ;-) | capeview |
