GafferThe best thing that could happen to this stock and others, like BT. GSK WPP to name but a few is for them to get a good kicking possibility another 10% or 20% in a sessions trading. Stocks that drift don't do anyone any favours. It's a slow death.

Well said. Money is wasted left, right and centre to keep the boys busy. 20% cost savings could be saved on the nhs straight away, and it would also be 20% more efficient. More money will not solve the problem. Money after money after money.... the waste is unbelievable. Jobs for the boys. Huge amounts work in the nhs and they don't even have real jobs. It is a pathetic political football. Taxpayers get shafted every time.

I would have thought that British Gas home services and Dyno would be more competitive pricing against a local trader if the local trader had an extra 20% added to their quote???

Will be interesting to see what happens in the budget next week. Sounds like the chancellor may reduce VAT threshold to £25k turnover. This will generate an extra £2bn apparently. I think another consequence will be that consumers will use the big service companies more - before there was a 20% discount incentive to using a local sole trade who was not VAT registered.

I expect Mr conn to have been quietly working away and ready to deliver positive news. There are a number of ways he can play it to give cna a good lift from these oversold levels. We'll just have to wait and see. At least clarity will be there as the market obviously doesn't like the uncertainty. Mr conn has the power to bring the fight to the government.

After reading today's (SUNDAY) papers my bigest reason for buying is a RE-RATING of CNA provided Conn's statement points that way...........keeping to his policy when he firts arrived on the scene..........we shall wait and see.

anley, completely agree with your post, personally, I would propose a raft of job losses due to cap.

It wouldn't surprise me if the energy companies start to work as a cartel. The government are virtually forcing them down that road just to survive. The only thing I can see securing cna's future is the rise of the EV.But how long will it be before the government take even that away?

For me - a buyer - I want Conn to issue a statement showing how each segment of the business is performing and then a statement on how he intends to deal with this stupid government on the CAP.

From this information maybe we can start to put a value on CNA...........
