01/10/2021 19:22 | Dio, you are the liar. You were caught out by someone over on Saga using multiple user handles, then lying about it when you slipped up and got caught out. You have zero credibility and everyone knows it. Your usernames include Fant1 and purchaseatthebottom (see today's posts). | discojulian45
01/10/2021 18:53 | Stretford1964 your last post is an all out lie, please prove what you have posted or i suggest you watch what you post. You were asked to reply about your postings last week but you declined. You have no credibility what so ever. | diohohku
01/10/2021 18:49 | Look at the NHS. £200bn and 1.3m employees. A bloated inefficient organistion. A religion, no one dares touch it. So few employed dealing with patients. Avoid nationalisation at all costs. As bad as it seems, the present system is optimum. The free market with sensible regulation will sort itself out. But gas and oil prices are rising all over the World. As are food prices. Time to grow up, we are not first in line for these essentials. You are so ignorant if you think that politicians and public ownership can solve these problems. | careful
01/10/2021 18:45 | Looking like a big take over☺️ | purchase_atthebottom1
01/10/2021 18:35 | Diohohku, never trust politicians and ignore possible nationalisation at your peril. Investors' shares could become worthless. | intelligenttrader
01/10/2021 18:11 | "An optimum solution where customers, employees and shareholders each benefit is only achieved by private companies in competition with each other."Think you are ignoring the chaos all around you in the energy sector. Are customers benefiting? - No. Are employees and shareholders benefiting - Centrica employees definitely haven't (apart from the BOD) and take a look at the CNA long term share price!.Your vision of nationalisation is from 50 years ago. Things have moved on since then. Trains have been the first to revert and energy could be next. Boris has already stated he's looking at it, and Labour have always wanted it.....ignore the possibility if you like. | disc0dave45
01/10/2021 17:53 | Creative destruction is an important part of capitalism. These cheeky start up are going bust and quite rightly. Centrica have been forced to become more efficient. Their staff have had job losses and new contracts. Good will come out of this. An optimum solution where customers, employees and shareholders each benefit is only achieved by private companies in competition with each other. But gas, oil, food, copper or any other commodity will become very expensive in a crowded World. If the government decides to subsidise energy prices to help poor people is a political decision. More taxation from the wealthy to subsidise the poor is always popular amongst the poor. It lets them hang on to their smartphones, Sky, flat screen TV and the rest. | careful
01/10/2021 17:40 | You do not wish to repeat the old arguments about nationalisation. Inefficiency, overstaffing, another bloated NHS type disaster. Fat pensions, paid maternity leave, LGBT compliance officers and the rest. And still the price of Gas is not controlled by the company. This means subsidies and the most expensive energy in history. The poor taxpayer, ripped off as always. They will never go back to that, economic illiteracy. | careful
01/10/2021 17:30 | The two articles I posted earlier clearly state on both political sides that nationalisation is an option - Boris as a temporary measure (yeah right) and Labour delegates have voted for it as well (no matter what Starmer thinks). This year has proven without doubt that the sector isn't operating for the benefit of customers in terms of cheaper bills. | disc0dave45
01/10/2021 17:20 | Home energy, electricity and gas are a huge market. Coming shortly, home charging for electric cars. Hard to believe that many will charge at garages or charging stations. It takes far too long. 80% will put their car on charge overnight at home. These areas are a massive opportunity for Centrica. It would not surprise if Centrica share price achieves multiples of todays bombed out levels over the next few years. Todays turnover of £12bn could increase significantly. Todays market cap of £3.4bn could be a thing of the past. Way short of the previous peak of £20bn, but not the same company these days. Opportunity knocks. Good investment is predicting the future before it happens. | careful
01/10/2021 16:33 | INFERNO, as you know, DIOHOHKU is a deramper over on the SAGA bb. Uses multiple IDs including PURCHASE_ATTHEBOTTOM | stretford1964

01/10/2021 16:24 | Agree careful, this is a risky share. Don't trust politicians. Centrica is in a very difficult position. | infernoep
01/10/2021 16:18 | I have just received a private message from diohohku asking me to ramp CNA. What's that all about, as I don't see this as a viable investment? | infernoep
01/10/2021 16:07 | Just come over from LSE. The 5-year Centrica share price chart doesn't make very good reading! | intelligenttrader
01/10/2021 16:04 | Who thinks that nationalisation is an option is asleep at the wheel. Labour have no plans to nationalise, big change from the Corbyn era. The danger is blundering Boris. He will have to get someone to pay for his green agenda. Already there is a green levy, Centrica have to subsidise their competitors. But sensible regulation we have to hope for. Always a risk. Look what damage clueless Theresa May did with her price cap. | careful
01/10/2021 15:53 | adrian j boris BROKER TARGETS Centrica: Jefferies remains Buy with a price target reduced from GBp 60 to GBp 58. Is that the best we can hope for here? Doesn't look like much of an upside? Jefferies don't have much confidence!! | discojames4
