As Neil Pratley, The Guardian Finance, previously stated, Centrica left it far too late to tackle its problems; hence the continued decrease in the share price. The 3 and 5 year share charts tell the story. Woeful.

Jeez Waldron, can you not read properly? The £2998m fig is for 2020. Following a 97% reduction into 2021, it is now £93m. It's not a test :)

CNA will need new customers to replace all those lost in recent months, due to the higher prices compared to rival suppliers. Higher prices is the reason I switched to EDF 3 years ago. This is on the road to ruin, best to ignore the rampers.

Just been on the uswitch website. They are currently unable to offer any switching options. People might be stuck with BG for a bit.

Inferno, I think it's the right decision to take your profit. I'm with disc0dave on this one, Nationalisation is a distinct possibility. Centrica has too much debt. I've studied this but decided to avoid.

I beat you to it inferno. I took a punt and snapped up some at 46p. When I got home today I was very pleased to see it has risen to 58p. Great result in a short timeframe. I've decided to sell my shares tomorrow morning and take the profit, as I'm not sure the rise will be maintained. It may drift back as Centrica is likely to face a hard winter. I'm going to buy NEX as that looks undervalued at present. Good luck all.

The bears were calling 45p when CNA was originally 55p, so they got it right. I was one of them and bought at 47p. It's only just started to recover. For months it's been like a car trying to get up a hill with no engine, which keeps rolling back. Intend selling around 62p if it gets there. I've set a 55p stop loss to guarantee I come out with a nice profit.

Any new BG customers will soon be leaving when they see what BG charge. Don't get locked in here. You'll regret it.
