01/10/2021 15:05 | If one uses the Quidco site to change energy supplier from British Gas to a cheaper company, cashback is offered too. So one gets a cheaper deal and cashback. Just move to one of the bigger names that won't go bust. I saved around £200 a year switching from British Gas. What's not to like? Now is certainly not the time to be pumping cash into this lame horse. | discojulian45
01/10/2021 14:46 | glenny, Inferno, disco, noog, why have you all stop posting on Saga? Instead of deramping Centrica, go back and ramp Saga. | diohohku
01/10/2021 14:38 | Inferno, I moved too, from British Gas to SSE (OVO). Centrica's prices are nothing more than daylight robbery and I got a much better 12-month, fixed-price contract with SSE. IMO, Centrica will struggle to retain customers once the already financially-stretche | glenngladssilver
01/10/2021 14:15 | Just moved over to EDF from BG. Got a much better fixed price deal. | infernoep
01/10/2021 14:09 | Blimey someone has a beef with Centrica, maybe lost an investment? | diohohku

01/10/2021 13:56 | Ofgem are just glad that Centrica are picking up the pieces, just loving the share price rise. I was thinking of investing in Saga but after reading posts that the share price would be far higher than it is now, no chance. | diohohku
01/10/2021 13:03 | Doubt it's good, Ofgem will make sure nobody gains from this calamity (windfall tax). The energy and retail market is well and truly broken, nationalisation will be back on the agenda IMO. | disc0dave45
01/10/2021 10:30 | British Gas sent me an E.Mail reassuring me of secure gas supplies. A good marketing E.Mail. This crisis that has bankrupt small cowboy energy suppliers will be very good for Centrica in the long term. Only idiots will switch to smaller cheaper suppliers in future. The public image of Centrica has changed overnight from big bad wolf to reliable supplier of gas and services. The people who set the cowboy suppliers up are smart we must concede. Last week one such start up supplier declared a huge loss, tens of millions, yet the controlling directors paid themselves multi million £ bonuses. Luvvly jubbly. | careful

Investors will also have an eye on key U.S. inflation data later in the day. Britain’s FTSE 100 is seen around 56 points lower at 7,030, Germany’s DAX is set to fall by around 154 points to 15,107 and France’s CAC 40 is expected to drop around 56 points to 6,464, according to IG data. | waldron

30/9/2021 15:41 | This will probably start retracing backwards next week, not much but back to the 52-55p range over the coming 3 weeks then start to climb again back to 57p the week or so before Novmeber 16th, its had a straight run of gains for about 1 to 2 weeks, but not mega rises or even large rises. Its also reporting season so natural market climbing. Seems to me to be following market trend nothing more (others shares have jumped 3-5% dailys), not this one. Nothing really showing signs of an outbreak, take over etc both would be 3-5% rises at a time this is only in the 0.5 to 1% ranges. Also daily volume like today is 5m sold vs 4.3m bought hardly huge numbers traded. One thing solid about Centrica at the mo, is nothing happens fast, unless its going down. | hifc231
30/9/2021 09:18 | Could a takeover/merger be on the cards? it's starting to look very interesting here. | diohohku

29/9/2021 18:20 | Just for you these so called small set up energy suppliers are own and run for quick get rich scum ,Who are ripping of their customers once they have signed up Hope that helps you perhaps you do not read between lines I do | portside1
29/9/2021 18:13 | portside1, bit early to be drinking isn’t it? I have read your last 3 posts numerous times and I’m still not sure what you’re getting at as it’s so poorly written? | norma_stitts
29/9/2021 16:44 | Also. A con companies is witch backed octopus .Avoid , do not sign a deal that in the small print locks you into their rules but it takes hours to find | portside1
29/9/2021 16:42 | You group a company of only 40m put together to. Start a energy company with no knowledge made over 930.000 profit by ripping off customers who once signed up see prices go up within weeks , and locked in Ofgem is working against customers and in the pockets of any one with money | portside1
29/9/2021 16:39 | I went on line to look at you energy deals they are a bunch of crooks they wanted more than 10% more than I am on with a big company yet ofgem allows them to trade so who at ofgem is related or on the pay roll or family member | portside1
29/9/2021 15:59 | thanks hifc i too am stuck with shares that did not perform as wished although i was lucky that they continued to pay decent dividends i do not hold CNA and only follow for friends and extended family good luck and take care chuckle and cheers next stop 58p | waldron
29/9/2021 15:14 | Hi Nemesis6 and Waldron, Think we are all "Old Guard" when it comes to this share, hanging on in faith and no will to loose so much. I would love to walk away from this, but feel after getting stuck here for 4 years, its worth seeing what happens over the next 6 months (its does have some positives , low debt, etc), but im £322k in the red here still (have averages down from 223p), so not willing to walk away just yet. There are other shares out there i could have made 30%+ (RR, FGP etc) on in the last few weeks, but like i say $$ handcuffs here at the mo. If no movment past 65-75p by feb ish, think its time to dump and make up the losses elsewhere. Dividends would have lowered the loss, but they dried up. All we can do is hope for all. Those that get excited quickly about this share really need to look at its history to see why it only flys down not up no matter what. All the best. | hifc231 |
