21/7/2023 06:58 | Of course they're suspect. They only assume buy or sell based on the published spread at the time of a trade. The real spread is often significantly different. Plus if you're buying or selling large amounts you often get a different price. | cyberbub
21/7/2023 06:41 | I've always thought ADVFN's Buy/Sell figures were suspect now we have proof. CNIC's brokers claim to have purchased over 216000 shares yesterday but ADVFN report 94,000 buys and 500000 odd sells. They both can't be right! | slogsweep
20/7/2023 08:19 | I'm not generally a fan of buybacks, but at least one thing is good - that they're keeping the shares in treasury rather than cancelling them. This gives better flexibility, and I'm hopeful that in a year's time they will be able to sell them back to the market (or preferably an insti) at 200p+ | cyberbub
19/7/2023 20:46 | I think your right Adam...you don't punt away £30mm in extra buy backs unless things are pretty rosy...the £30mm is a big number in relation to size of the group. pretty surprised they even went that big with it... | ggrantsu
19/7/2023 20:43 | Grant Think it'll be similar to Q1 - some growth and strong cashflow. Hopefully some signs of margin improvement too. The increased buyback tells us that it'll be strong. I'm not expecting anything bigger picture or any corporate level activity - just strong operational performance Adam | adamb1978
19/7/2023 20:13 | It will be interesting to see how this trading update is...perion has reported very strong Q2 2023 performance...probab Any thoughts from others what we me might be presented with? | ggrantsu
19/7/2023 10:56 | Issuing the buyback announcement is a requirement of the listing rules. From memory you have til 8am the next day | adamb1978
19/7/2023 08:32 | It's a very good point about the cost...I for one did not realise how much each individual one cost. But do think its legally required...all the more sensitive because its company buying the stock... | ggrantsu
19/7/2023 07:33 | All the other companies do it so probably a requirement. Cash not an issue £75000 a year is buttons given profits. I check it every day as I like to know what proportion of 'buys' are from people/orgs other than the company | slogsweep
19/7/2023 07:09 | Ggrantsu you seem to have a contact with the company. Can you ask them whether they're legally obliged to issue RNSes every day about their buyback? If not, I for one would be happy to get a weekly or even fortnightly summary. I understand that an RNS costs about £300 to issue, and these daily RNSes could go on for months, wasting literally tens of thousands of pounds of our money... | cyberbub

17/7/2023 17:32 | Thanks ggrantsu. Can anyone post the link to that interview again please? | cyberbub
17/7/2023 16:47 | I've held since summer of 2020...but have topped up all the way (including some tranches at 150). It's probably far too big a part of my portfolio...have just been swayed by the team who built a fantastic domain name business and so I'm willing to risk it on the online marketing segment (happy to send anyone on here my research notes for that side of the business). Also feel that the FCF yields are pretty much unparalleled. It's always tough going into something where the end-market (in OM) is a little bit of a black box. But there is clearly a potential demand pool here and optionality wise, it could be off the scale if they manage to take full advantage of it. My understanding is that vs. the likes of Tremor / Perion and System1, centralni have a hell of a lot more opportunity to monetise given the pool of domain names it has under its belt. The competitiveness weakness is clearly in the PubTonic part of the business...but as of yet it still seems to be going strong. I like the exposure to VGL as well...considerably more footfall to that website vs. moneysupermarket...a Be interested to hear other thoughts about risks / opportunities here... Best, Gregor | ggrantsu
17/7/2023 16:02 | Ggrantsu, have you been a holder for long? | cyberbub
17/7/2023 15:22 | Hi All, Not posted here for a while. Just an FYI, been in contact with company and the update will be coming on the 24th. The response I received had a positive tone with 'stay tuned!'. I know it sounds ridiculous reading into stuff like that but I always do... My my what a story this is becoming. For those who didn't listen to the interview with Michael recently on the domain wire website...you must. I've always thought he was rather a poor communicator vs. Ben and hadn't seen him perform in a way which instilled me with confidence. Well how that changed on that interview...what a stellar presentation of the company and all its exciting growth opportunities going forward. And great to be talking about the domain name part of the business again and how it gives them a market advantage in its online marketing i.e. other online marketers don't have 20mm domains under their belt to monetise. This point always gets lost on people...but probably the big story here. Michael came across confident, clear and composed. And then today....some incredibly savvy capital allocation while the share price is down at these ridiculous levels. Amazing and hats off to the team...the fact you can still buy this at current prices is just insane, it really | ggrantsu
17/7/2023 15:20 | That second buy you mention isn't shown on either ADVFN or LSE, where did you see it? | cyberbub
17/7/2023 14:51 | Another buy for 1.5m went through at approx 1.30 pm. | mr doughnut1
17/7/2023 13:49 | I dont see any surprises coming up in the TU (didnt realise tomorrow was the date). Expect to see a continuation of the trends in Q1 - very good cashflow though net debt might increase slightly due to the deferred consideration from the deal last year and buyback. Need continued quarters of performance to change the narrative, and then the value will 'out' here | adamb1978
17/7/2023 13:19 | If there's a significantly positive or negative TU released this week, then people making trades of that size may find themselves under scrutiny IMO | cyberbub
17/7/2023 13:18 | 1.5M and 0.5M trades just gone through at 125p... That volume must be trades worked over a few days, and at that price must be buys IMO? | cyberbub
17/7/2023 11:36 | Anyone got any thoughts or predictions about the TU expected tomorrow? | cyberbub
17/7/2023 10:32 | Date for the diary - CNIC are presenting online via Sharesoc on 6th September: | rivaldo
15/7/2023 15:02 | Is there any chart showing each registrar over time? Obviously CNIC has dipped slightly, would be good to see how they and the others have performed for the last 2 years say. | cyberbub
15/7/2023 12:34 | I would say previous month, that is why the first in both charts has Feb 23, as explanation? | diesel |
