What we need is…
A good set of results, or maybe a share buyback programme, a dividend policy may help,
Or perhaps directors buying, then again some positive broker notes wouldn’t go amiss!

What's the risk that this goes private before market wakes up to its potential?

It's not 'still going down'!!It's stuck in the range where it's been for a few months

Yet despite Kestrel and the buy-backs, it's still going down.

Kestrel continue to consistently buy more - another 50,000 shares yesterday, and they're now up to 23.51%.

With Max Royde's Board involvement one would hope they'd be pretty au fait with CNIC's prospects!

Must be another big seller. IT's, and funds must be inundated with redemptions as people have to make higher mortgage payments etc. and are raising cash whenever they can. CNIC must compete with other investments for a decreasing supply of hot money. Hopefully a knockout update in August will put CNIC at the top of the queue!

After so much waiting I think we've finally found our feet. About time, let's see this back to 130s and 140s soon

Best close (115.7p mid) since St George's Day (23/4) when it closed at 115.9p mid.

Good spot - appears to have cleared an overhang.

Someone's buying shares, a trade for a shade under 1.5m or 1/2 of one percent of the co. Has just gone through.

Starting to get a bit more confidence that we might have bottomed here.

Difficult to know how much is due to the support from the share buyback but am also sensing a slightly better environment for small-caps in the last few weeks too.

Would be nice if we held this 100p-120p level for the next few weeks til the Q2 figures and then I could see us moving up more meaningfullly

Shares held in Treasury (bought back but not cancelled) don't have voting rights, nor dividend rights, so will make any dividends cheaper for CNIC in future.

Don't think Treasury shares count towards mcap calculation so should lower the mcap if share price doesn't rise. The shares could potentially be sold back to market in future without the need for an official equity raise - so company could potentially make a profit on them at a later date if sold above the buyback prices.

Shares held in Treasury aren't factored into market cap, EPS etc

Upside of not cancelling them is that if you need to issue some shares, for example as part of the consideration for an acquisition, they can be released out of Treasury rather than needing to get shareholder approvals to create new shares

Does the fact that they are not cancelling the shares mean this excessive has little impact on mcap and share price ?

Coming back a bit now. Look at it through an optimistic lense: price would be a lot lower without the buyback

I still remain of the view from a few months ago that CNIC might need a small number of Qs showing their great cashflow for the market to cotton on to it. Q1 was very good and Q2 likely the same.

Will be interesting to see what they say at the interims about further buybacks. They'll have bought back c2% of the company over the last 6 months

Doobz

Just needs to hold c110p level and put out another decent set of figures for Q2 (which it will) in a few weeks.

Charts need to stop going down before they can go up!

Literally no idea what more they can do now, awful performance for share price despite everything growing well. Patience is only option here now

Yes. There's a long-term support around these levels though so important that it holds it again over the next few days
