Plat,I'm 80 years old with 60 years trading experience Ive had very big successes in that time and am extremely well off,you cannot teach me anything ,ive followed you for a long time and have kept quiet, until now ,I'm not impressed with you at all like many people on this site who cares about 9% down I'm in it for the long haul so we will see, since my wife died 2 years ago I am invested in 23 different shares ,most are quite boring but pay good dividends ,some are steady and some are pure gamblers,I am extremely exited about BANGO which I picked up a load of shares at 10p I hold 220000 at the moment and I think this has a brilliant future,it's a crying shame I'm so old I would have loved to have gone forward for the next 10 years with them good luck,

Hi cinque...

Yeah 3% is my aim put I use a trailing stop.. Basically means as the price moves in my favour then so does my stop loss. Effectively banking your gains and reducing your risk should the price move against you.

Defo have to watch it... For instance you'll get patterns and signals on much shorter time duration charts.

I might even close my position if I see a double bottom on the 5 min chart for instance.

Never be too timid to close a position and take a small loss. The market will always be open and you can get back in whenever you want.

Little and often is the strategy for trading

Plat Hunter. CFD sorry.

Yes,a CRF is a Honda Motorcycle. :-)

Interesting.

Yes,getting out at the end of the day and not letting a position run, makes sense to me ,a bit like day trading.

What you say makes me think that my friend was not monitoring his position enough and not closing it in time.

Does that mean that you try to make your 3% within one trading day and get out?

CFD's cinque...

Use stop losses and trailing profit stops.

I risk 1% with an aim of making 3% and never let a position run.

I close out at the end of each day regardless.

It is pretty risky,isn't it,Plat Hunter, to short. (CRF s ) ?

What odds do you bet? 2:1 or???

You would have to be pretty confident and well trained to play that game,I would have thought.

I have an acquaintance with a computer science degree etc and he had no real money of his own and was looking to get rich quick,I guess.

Several attempts led to big losses.

Not for me just yet,but I am interested to hear more about the process.

It depends on gold.

If gold holds at $1500 or goes higher the shares will go higher.

I took some money of the table today. But still hold a good amount for me.

I don't want to tread on anyone's toes here.

I have not been professionally trained in this field but I like to "talk the talk "now and then. :-).

We have heard valid arguments here, for this to go up further, and also for this to go back down.

My personal view is that this may go a bit higher but it will inevitably drop back a lot as more and more people take the profits and reduce or eliminate their risk of losing all their gains.

So I will stay out, exercise patience and not worry about missing out.

No one is touching this on the open or secondary market, the bots are in control here now.

All AT trades, I wonder why?

No one ever loses money by selling or not buying FACT... Only one person here telling you do the opposite to that and their name begins with a K.

Be warned, shorters always have more leverage.

Kenny.. I'm not sure what your point is.. surely it's better to buy low and sell high, no?

I make CEY worth no more than 120 at 1350.. And said so when CEY was in the 80's, where this is ultimately heading back to.

Keep holding and see what happens to your wealth as the silver gold ratio is ultimately reversed.

Mentioned earlier that the company has a $300m cash buffer, true but I believe that cash buffer is also pending the outcome of the legal proceedings against the company.
Clearly the company is aware that if the case against them is proven they will have to find multi millions and is leaving it in reserve.

So I reckon that allows for the negative.

On the positive side this company was overvalued at 135 when production was below forecast - however they are putting production difficulties behind them - couple with that the increase in POG and yes results will be looking up.

Thereafter cash rolling in and an increase in dividend - so happy to hold - until there is a change to fundamentals.

Plats winning formulas ...

Plat Hunter - 26 Aug 2019 - 21:06:31 - 8096 of 8289 FRESNILLO precious metals - FRES
I wouldn't disagree with you Kenny. Much like CEY it's a play on the metal price, i see macro outlook taking silver to $22 which by my calcs would put the share price here north of 1250.

If you can play it in the meantime then it won't matter if you don't call the absolute bottom or the top.

Silver now at 18.07 and FRES 700 . The guys a real winner .

Filtered Plat . Suggest everyone else does the same . He doesn’t get his commission unless the share drops to 80p . This is their opportunity now with the RNS over a month away . 160 a certainty IMHO when the big fat profits on H2 are public.

Break out to the south side of 135 will be a full tilt signal for the shorters and could well be breached this week.

My Golders are HUM, CEY, SHG and SRB....great update IMO from SRB this am....prudent estimates and NPV looks v. attractive with room for improvements all over the place IMO/DYOR> Likewise to continue to expand resources with future drilling etc.....all for £50m market cap and existing operations chucking off great EBITDA anyway...
