Trump has crashed the global markets again with the latest tweet ramping up tariffs to even higher levels. Like I said it's not wise to sell gold stocks with this action going on and on with no end in sight.

Has anyone else noticed how the price of Bitcoin seems to be in tandem with the price of gold?

All about Powell today- fingers crossed all :-). I read an article yesterday that made me smile, compared the Powell/Trump relationship to that of Henry II/Becket!

Gold nice and steady. Think it will actually turn higher today. Up here, hopefully break 140 and seller cleared at srb so that should spout higher too...

Getting ready for the next leg up.

The recent fall in the oil price will also be helping to lower costs by a few %

also hopefully should get some positive news on the fs on the solar power plant.

Roll on a cracking q3 and q4.....£2 by christmas :)

Or he could just fire Powell sooner rather than later.

You are probably very right, but Trump is ratcheting up the pressure on Powell and the Fed.I think he wants to keep the pressure on China in his trade war and use of tariffs for a while longer yet,so he wants The Fed to do his bidding and slash domestic interest rates...and fast. The trade war is affecting US GDP and domestic consumption negatively so Trump wants to offset this with tax cuts(which he's already done and might do more)and lower domestic interest rates. This is where the Fed needs to be leaned on by Trump and Navarro....mostly using his early morning tweeting.

unless lehman style crisis the US are never going to do a half point cut, just not going to happen, suggests panic
